I think Rane applied lot of brain finding this..But it is not Bloopers. There are Villages, where you have electricity for Tubewell, and they call it Power Connections. And still the village is not electrified as there is separate Budget for both the things. So it is possible to have a Power Connection with electrified village.
Don't we have load sheddings almost every night or for some fixed hours in many villages and towns - even now??? And, Sholay was in the 70s when it generally used to be the case!

good...its really a joke as if somebody found out something to get a NOBEL PRIZE!!!
Actually Water tank is in middle of the town where there's electricity and thakur stays outside village where there's no electricity. Also, since there are servants at home, what else could Thakur's bahu be doing all the time sitting at home ? so she lights up lamps at evening one by one...
