Crisis and wonder how you have rated this movie 3.5
by MK Govind on Jan 17, 2010 08:35 AM  | Hide replies

A completely disappointing experience and an absolute waste of time. This movie is not worth any single paisa or a minute of your time.

Movie seems to have a very thin and completely mishandled story line. The director is completely confused, the actors lost and the audience awaiting to see "THE END" (But end up seeing a disappointing note that a sequel is likely to follow.

"how ca rediff rate such movies as 3.5. I wonder if its an independent opinion or an influenced rating.

Wildly crass: attempt only if you are a Zombie fan!

The underdeveloped script lacks everything - starting from strong plot twists to captive locations to graphics to credibility, above all.

Movie was excellant. Second half was very violent and blood still selva tried something different. Actauly its LTTE - Srilanka issue indirectly selvaragavan showed. Parthipan as Prabakaran excellent but real hero is Karthi who gets all claps. also this movie is not for family audience.

AO Sucks..
by Sathyanarayanan Ravisharma on Jan 17, 2010 12:45 AM

After watching the trailer, I did go to the movie with very high expectations, but sorry to say i was extremely disappointed. The fact that the movie was completely illogical is one thing, but the main drawback is that in the second half the story doesn\'t move at all.
Maybe Selva thinks that too much of blood and sex will make his films run, but he needs to understand that it\'s the story which is the backbone of any movie and this is where this movie fails completely. There is no story.

And yeah, please don\'t take children or family to this movie. If possible, avoid this and spend 3 hours doing something more productive, like sleeping! At least you won\'t waste money on tickets.

Crappiest Movie
by Gowda Suresh on Jan 16, 2010 11:22 PM  | Hide replies

Can a movie be utterly random, crappy, bloody, gory with not the slightest hint of meaning? This one is. If you are a Tamil, you better avoid it - otherwise this is the crappiest you can ever see in your life and incredibly random, vulgar and gory with no iota of sense.

When I saw the title and the cast, thought it must be a good movie, never had any idea, it was not meant to be watched with family, half the time we were looking down, even sci-fi/vampire/ghost English films would not go to such extent, when you embrace vulgarity, it surely means you do not trust the story, and that is what this movie all about, no strong story to grab your attention, so they have added these vulgar scenes, so at least a part of the audience interested in such things will go and watch, to be honest, since most people watch a movie based on friends/acquaintance's opinions, I think the first set of people will be the last to watch this. Just learn from such films made by others, like "The Mummy - Part I and II" though they were horifying to some part, were a bit decent, you should strictly allow only above 18 to watch, poor kids may be terrified of the violence and all. I do not think they will even get any award for this is dedignification of tamil culture, on the same chord Kamalahasan's Dasavatharam was class with regards to the depiction of old age feuds and all. Hope family people and children are warned against watching this violent vulgar movie!!!!!

No clear storyline - Defies logic - Misguided script
by Bodhro Lok on Jan 16, 2010 10:31 PM  | Hide replies

I went to see this movie after seeing the trailer and with high expectations. But it proved to be a case of misguided script

There are a thousand holes. Can any one who saw the movie explain the following

1) What is the purpose of the expedition
2) Can anyone go to Vietnam,as said in the movie, or any other country, with arms & ammunition and shoot and kill the natives
3) Why are the natives attacking the expedition
4) Why are various types of obstacles created to stop the expedition
5) The natives & Cholas are shown as Cannibals - is it believable.
6) Every now and then spome sparles and charges are shown what is it supposed to do ??
7) In middle of nowhere the army man calls some one and immeditely troops are coming to foriegn country by air !!!
............

If you are not intrested in good storyline , logic or screenplay but only want to grand war scenes like they do in Hollywood and pat on your back that Tamil movies = Hollywood then oyu must support this effort and watch this movie. Dr.K may even award it as the "Best Film of 2010"
