It is not terrorism in today's sense of the word. They did not want kill unrelated innocent people. They were not cowards. If one goes by your logic then whole human history is nothing but terrorism.

Not that your poor linguistic skills warrant a reply, but I would oblige. People with zero patriotism only would find a patriotic film a terrorist one. So, the question is - what do we call people with zero patriotism?
Hi!Instead of criticising the film and its makers let us see it based on the actual story of the Book Do Or Die by Mannini Chatterjee. This is the real story of Masterda Surya Sen and one should not be critical about it.Every ounce of the story is true and acting inspiring. It should put us in shame if we do not do justice to the film by watching it.The director, the cast and every body who even have a skighest role to play or be a part of the film deserves praise for bringing back the memories of the forgotten hero Masterda whom atleast each and every Bengali will remember if not the entire Indains.

it doesn't matter if a movie is loyal to the book it is based on. what matters is whether d movie by itself is good or not.

It does not matter either if one's name is copied from (once) a leading actress of Bollywood. What matters is whether the person herself is beautiful or not.

As in AB Senior without makeup??? or Rajni Saaru with tons of Makeup and some snazzu Robot effects?
Well it does not come as a surprise that Raja does not know of the Chittagong uprising . For 90% Indians the freedom movement starts and ends with Gandhi when in reality he was one of the many cogs in that wheel . Bengal has given India thousands of Martyrs / freedom fighters who are now lost in the Gandhistic propaganda of the scan tainted congress party . As for Teenagers fighting for freedom , Mr Sen would be surprised to know that most of the actual freedom fighters were teenagers (eg Khudiram Bose ) The Anushilan Samity was founded to train these fresh minds . When the older and supposedly mature ppl are more interested in gaining power and only concerned about profit and loss these young ppl with fresh ideas were the actual saviors for India .

At least raja Sen is honest and admits he did not know much about this episode in India's history. KHJJS may not be a classic, but it is an important film and should be seen. The sacrifice made by so many Indians for an independent future cannot be over-emphasized. The whole "freedom fighters vs terrorist" debate is meaningless and we shouldn't even get into that. It is a pity that some of the views expressed here expose a holier than thou attitude; come on, Gandhi wouldn't have been able to do even half of what he did if people like Bhagat Singh, Azad, Rajguru, Subhas Bose and the Azad Hind Fauj, Surjyo Sen and his team, and so many others who died for India hadn't instilled fear in the British mind. Ashutosh Gowariker deserves praise for having attempted to tell the story of such brave men and boys to the new generation. We need national pride in these times of corruption and self-centered existence.

You should be and so should every Indian. It's so sad that the X-Gen doesn't have a clue, what sacrifice many thousands did for them to live the way they live today.
