This movies show what India is Today.
Corrupt media and politician can do anything for TRP.
Peoples who belongs to Village will understand most of this movie...
Our media really does not care about real problems of India.. they only interested in stupid bollywood news.
Good work done by Anusha Rizvi...

Inhuman approach towards Farmers Suicide!
by Deepak Raje on Aug 20, 2010 01:36 PM  | Hide replies

The movie is an insult to farmers who have been victims of the system. By showing a farmer deciding to commit suicide just for the sake of compensation, the filmmakers have made light of a serious issues. Shame on Amir Khan and the team...instead of touching the real serious problems of the farmers...they have created humour out of it.

Ashutosh Govarikars Lagan was a hit. Cocept was unique...every character was the hero and had a important role to play. They have lifted the same idea...the same rural characters. Even
media posters are copied. But they have failed to show sensitivity to our beloved hardworking farmers problems. Farmers suicide is the most serious issue. Satire can be targeted at our corrupt politicians or TRP crazy media but defiantly not at poor farmers. It shows insensitivity of the team.

yes agreed that the suicide problem is the serious problem. but in this movie he also show the activities of media and leaders. who show the interest in such issue for their profit and no body take the intrest to resolve the problem.
in this film, there is another farmer name ramswaroop who had lost his farm due to loan and after that he lived on sell the clay. and after he died and no media person telecast his news even no body take intrest.
that is truth of todays time.
so do not blame this film, he give some massage by humur.
this film is also showing the differene of urben area and rural area.

Pure Truth
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Inhuman approach towards Farmers Suicide!
by Pure Truth on Aug 22, 2010 02:07 PM
Deepak, its not satire its reality. Politicians waive loans, so banks do not want to lend. Moneylenders lend at 50-100 % interest rates, which become unviable if there is a crop failure. Crop failures are easy when your farm is in uncertain rainfall zones or if you do not have technical knowledge as a farmer. If this is not enough, the high suicide compensation will mean anyone with an izzat obligation like a daughters marriage, is better off dying than living.

This is the real truth, and instead of addressing the truth, we go about finding scapegoats - corporations, moneylenders, blah. The ministers are the murderers, because they make the business of farming unviable, and the business of dying ultra viable.

sorry i m not impressed with this film its not a type of amir khan, saying about acting it was marvelous character perfect but the subject(suicide)and the dialoge so embarassing i could not gather what AMIR wants to deliver what message and to whom in terms of collection it may be on top but as a AMIR KHAN production this was a disappointment(huge)for a perfectionist and a super star i expected much much more. Had it been other than AMIR i would have accepted.sorry AMIR dont do it again.A fan of yours from raipur chattisgarh anil rao mahadik
