Anusha....

I heard it is a good film.

But understand that when you make statements like this ...

"""""""Sales and covering costs have happened for so many other meaningless films. I don t give much importance to that.""""""""

....Guess what!! you want the film to be watched by maximum number of people.....which means MONEY!!!

You are not having free shows are you???

If the movie was good and didnt make money.....then this would have been your last film as a director.

So cut the c.r.a.p and dont act nonchalant!

I don't think you get it. Money is not at the core of everything we do. Money may follow what we do or make but what drives some people is a passion of creating something that has an impact on other lives. How wonderful is that!

Anusha Rizvi and her husband quit their jobs and did just that. Were they driven by money? Maybe... but they were accomplished journalists and could have made money there too.
Now Aamir Khan is a businessman and he saw potential in the story and in the people behind it so decide to "invest" his own money into it. The key word is "invest" - to make returns out of it in a monetary form. He did that with TZP and is doing it here. I don't think there was anything altruistic in his intentions nor does he speak of it that way... How much of those returns Anusha and her husband got is a subject of debate. Their return may have been the satisfaction of their dream taking life and moving people in the way it moved them...

Who are you and I to judge what her intentions are. She may actually mean what she said in the sentence you highlighted above. Om Shanti Om made a ton on money but did it do anything for you than the momentary escape it provided? Very unlikely... but Peepli did more than just give you a laugh. It may have actually caused you to think and perhaps do something good... that's the point she was trying to make that you so blatantly missed!

aamir should donate

the poor farmers's plight has been highlighted here and making profit out of their plight isnt right.now that the film has recovered its cost. aamir must donate all the profits to the poor farmers.that would be the right thing to do.meanwhile government can make this movie tax free.

Instead of appreciating Amir's guts to highlight a worthy cause why you want the money which is peanuts compared to the gravity of the problem? Please understand even trillions of Dollars can not solve the real problem. It is about the greedy , corrupt politicians and corporates.

Krishna

Just becoz, Taare Zamee par was a hit...does AAmir need to donate his profits to people suffering from Dyslexia???

If someone made a movie on terrorism....does he need to give his profits to terrorists???

You are suffering from something called Stupido Sympathology!!

Shall I make a movie on it.

Your sympathy is appreciated by one and all.....so is your stupidity and artificiality!!

Krishna V,
Good to see you watched the movie and are moved by it...
Charity begins at home... you cant tell others to give without giving yourself to the same cause... think about it.
Also, completely agree with Govind Raj... money is not the solution to this crisis... or else why not print more money and hand it over to everybody??
