City of gold is a great initiative by Mahesh Manjrekar. The dark and dingy realities of the slums, the underworld nexus, the vengeance and rage that is needed to make it big and earn money is shown rather well in this movie. Loved the performances by the actors...even the small actors left their presence. All in all the film is great...

The movie is really good.Mahesh Manjrekar deserves a pat on his back for his commendable research and detail into the mill workers. Kashmira and Karan had done remarkable jobs as the middle class people and the typical portrayal of marathis is done superbly...the story and screenplay is a thumbs up.
