first of all i want to ask why rediff is publishing these below hatred messages from one and all on all languages in south india.why all are blaming their brother languages is really surprising and somebody asking some language to make national international and others saying there actors rule and some people talking on one director and others accusing one another.its a shame that we from south india scooping to this level.first of all we will all agree without hesitation that stories, directors, actorsand for all technicians there is no match for the southindian languages.of course there are even more talented people in other languages too but if you take the whole some the film industry is truly ruled by south indian languages.i do say this because there was an award happening every year in the name of IIFA where only hindi movies are acknowledged and this is the most illetarate thing that a film industry can do and harm other language films.india is different from others because of cultural and language difference and with this all we still stay together and alive that itself makes this country great but the lookwards difference is becoming huge day by day and hindi is trying to molest the other language films and we all clap and welcome for the awards that regional language films have got and lets all pray and stay happy that we get more awards and win a global recognition and lets not get in to any sort of blamegames.hope i have not offended any writers
All I want to say,wen u talk movies...u must know who r the best in India..watch their movies, n then comment... In India, very few can surpass bengali film makers... Satyajit ray...plzz check, any info ,tops every1, n a range of others follow...
So plzz, dont act proudy, n check the best movies frm India first...
Bt,hey, hearty congrats man...no offences...i would love to watch the movies..n salute to the winners

then why didnt bengali films get any award. Evem mallu movies are fantastic. Go and check the movies of kamal hasan, bala, maniratnam etc in tamil. And cinema is not just about directing stories. There is music, cinematography and a host of othr sub fields. Again ARR, santosh sivan, PC Sreeram are the best and are from tamil. Bengalo industry hardly makes 30-40 movies in a year. tamil / telugu make abt 200 in a yr. And in tamil u ll easily find 40-50 movies with impeccable story lines and expertise in other domains.

So u got the point. u shudnt think that movies made by the ones mentioned by u are superior. Also as i mentioned film making is composed of an array of tasks, not just story and direction

why to watch best movies from India only? why no movies from all over the world? only then we can judge the standards. why sing own praises ourselves only?

Lets go easy on this 'Word salutes' stuff. We indians, always crave for world recongnition, n build hype over our fake celebrities being 'Global icons'.
Did we not learn how painfully unaware the world is about our Global icon SRK when he was mde to stand for 2 hours in the US and asked questions like 'Who are you? What do you do for a living? how can we be sure anyone knows about you in the US and vouch for you here? Tell us more about you?"

Yes. That was the time the Communists from Bengal and Kerala dominated and took all the awards for themselves. The biggest joke of these awards is they not even gave the best actor award to Sivaji Ganesan when he was winning international awards and got acknowledged as one of the best in the world.

South Indian movies r gr8... n so r the directors...bt I just wish all Indian movies bring out the intellect of Indians, which many movies lack...
Intelligent movies r ones that donot present facts on the face... bt let people think abt it fr some time,n let them analyze wat the film is abt
I have seen some films that used to come in Subtitles over DD,from south, some of them were cool stuff!
N 1 gr8 guy I remember,ws the guy who made malgudi days!

Tamil film industry truly holds the national identity. Prakash raj a kannadiga, acted in Priyadarshan a malayalee film made in tamil and won an award. This is a clear example of how Tamils accept true talent irrespective of language, caste, creed, race, culture etc. Rajni, Arjun, Mohan, Murali, Prakash Raj, Dhanush, Prithviraj, Vinay, Vineeth, etc. etc. and innumerable heroines, technicians etc. all work together in Tamil films. This unique thing you can see only in tamil films. Tamils always accept good and varied talent and not so narrow minded like other language films.

relax mate.....tamil is a great language but only 10% of indians can speak or understand it..
Re: Make Tamil National Language

Why to restrict it to National language? You should go to UN and ask it to include in UN official languages. anyway it is spoken in Lank, Malaysia and few other countries

Is this your personal view? Do others around you agree with that? Do you get into arguments or others in your circle have a unanimous views on this? Do you think that the last line of your first para and the last line of you last para especially the second half of that line are consistent and not self contradictory.? Do others around you think like you have written these two sentences?

selva babu, I m completely relaxed. otherwise I too would be pointing accusation. I only asked to him to introspect not change his views. Is that a crime?
ADLABS in charge MANMOHAN SHETTY, AISHWARYA RAI, SHILPA SHETTY, and SUNIL SHETTY are ruling Bollywood Industry, The big Showman Mr. Man Mohan desai was telling to his colleagues that “IDHAR AUR UDHAR JATHE BI KARNATAKI LOGO NE MUJE DIKTHA HAI” (If I go here and there I can see only Karnataka ppl) In Tamil cinema Industry Even today, except kamalahasan, the rest of the actors look like buffoons. Just take a look of Vijayakanth, A.J. Surya, Dhanush (son-in-law of Rajani). Though Vijay, Vikram and surya are tolerable but they are always displayed as fighting masters. Even Vijay‘s dialogue delivery is like a patient having tooth ache. Just have a look of Rajani, Arjun, Prakash, and even Ramesh aravind. (All are hailed from Karnataka) They are marvelous in acting and always the best dialogue delivery, even though they have studied in Kannada medium schools. Once Vijayakanth entered to a star hotel in Chennai and saw RAJANI on one side busy with the discussion and PRAKASH RAJ on other side discussing about some projects where as ARJUN SARJA and MURALI were sitting and chatting. Vijayakanth got irritated and murmuring like ‘ENGAI PONALUM KANNADAGARANGALA TOLLAI” (Wherever go KANNADIGAS are around) In Telugu, our same actors, RAJANI, ARJUN and PRAKASH RAJ are shining. If u take MALAYALAM Industry, LAKSHMI GOPALASWAMY is one of the leading actress in Malayalam Film Industry.
