Migration of people in large amount from eastern part of India to Mumbai has much increased these days and one should try to go reasons behind it. Life in states like bihar is really horrible. Law and order means nothing there. Here every minister work for their vote banks. That’s why Laloos rail budget contains maximum benefit only to Bihar and Mamta's rail budget contains only West Bengal. Raj is also doing the same thing. He has never blamed the persons or north Indians who r in Mumbai since long years.. He is protesting new arrivals. But the way he adopted is not proper and its really useless to ask where is Raj on 26/11??? Both r different issues. Then we should also think what congress has done in case of Kasab. After almost one year still court decision pending..and no action against accused. So our so called leaders should also try to improve conditions in bihar etc so that these people wont migrate.. No one would like to leave his or her home town if same conditions prevails everywhere..

Kavita, I give you different perspective on that:
1. Have you noticed that every slum has one MNS and one SS office? 2. Most known slum lords are part of SS or MNS. 3. This means that slums are promoted by MNS & SS.
Where does a poor migrant live when he comes to Mumbai...slums?
He is able to sustain himself in the city because of cheap housing in slums allowed by so-called crusaders of Marathi pride?
If you don't let slums develop...the migrant would have no choice but to leave the city...so problem is of political will ...not of migratation...New York has 95% migrants...but it is growing and glowing!

peope fil to understand that whatever raj is trying to achieve, if he succeeds, it will not only benefit the tax paying citizens marathi people of mumbai but also other communities that are living in the city.. media is also to be blamed for never raising the real issue and just showing the ways of raj bt not pointing at the real cause ..

I would agree to his intention if he stops delving on these minor publicity stunts and works on removing slums which is root cause of large unsustainable migrant population...rest is just a hogwash and waste of everyones time..if as marathi you want to keep delving in these stupid issues..thats your choice...u have lot of time!

The Real Causes aes the Politicians, People, of Northern States, As Politicians there creating the jobs for in UP Bihar, & people who elect such leaders there. Also the media is responsible as they do not highlight the real cause

India is a democratic republic people have their right to earn their living . Why are we forgetting the true essence of being an Indian first then whatever faith we affirm to . Be proud to be an Indian first .
He will take more marathi votes and weaken Sena BJP. It wll ensure that Congress stays in power. Just imagine Sena ruling Maharashtra. That is far worse.
