Actually they don't. As if calling Mumbai will solve the problem of unemployed Marathis in Mumbai.

It has nothing to do with unemployment. The name is Mumbai. You have to call it by that name.
The movie starts parallelly with Lakshya, but it got diverted to some extent. As the movie progress, one can easily predict what's going to happen next. Even the friendship with Ranbeer and the other guy showed some glimpse as that of Rock on and Dil chahta hai. I would prefer one to go this who haven't saw Lakshya, cause the theme is same, a person without any goals. The movie gets slower in the second half with 2-3 slow motion songs, and a little bit of comic scenes.
Ranbir has done his best, truely justified his role, konkana was superb. No doubt about the music, it matches with the character of SID. In all, a one time watchable.
this is nothing but a publicity gimmick with raj getting mileage for coming election and karan getting a reason to promote the film on news channels , which would gladly do it anyways..
Movie is not upto the mark. While watching the movie if u relate the character with your self (if u have been through your life the way the character was) then probably u may like it,overall slow story.
I do not know as to why Raj Thackrey should unnecessarily blow up a trivial issue and make it into a big prestigious issue, just because he is missing the political limelight. So what if someone calls Mumbai, a Bombay in a movie. I am sure no one would have minded if Chennai had been called Madras or Karnataka called Mysore or Kolkata called Calcutta instead,in a similar regional movie. Even today, many people including me, write Trivandrum instead of the longer name on the envelope while mailing letters to friends because we are all used to the shorter spelling. No one ends up threatening to burn buses or cinema theaters, mainly because the people and their political leaders are a lot more mature, in the rest of India. The whole thing is so tragicomic....I am sure nobody's sentiments or emotions would have been hurt just by using the name Bombay, as is being made out to be. The whole issue is so trivial.
