No Issues left for marathis?
by Badmash Admi on Oct 02, 2009 08:26 PM  | Hide replies

By the way, Karan Johar is a Punjabi guy (i.e. not from UP/Bihar) and still MNS is going after him. I thought that MNS was only against UP/Bihar people like myself. Never mind. If these people want to do something good for their own marathi people, why don't they work for suicide committing Vidarbha farmers? How will things improve if they manage to humiliate a Punjabi film maker on this trivial issue?

I dont know about Chennai but people living in other cities you have mentioned dont mind. In fact, the newspaper Telegraph still claas the city as Calcutta and there is no decline in its readership because of this. Only stupid people take umbrage over such trivial things.

MNS is a rogue group. They are no tpoliticians, they are street side hoodlums, whose boys are unemployed and live off common people's tax money.

can they not work to get the drainage system of "Mumbai" ( supposed to have been a Singapore by now) in order ?

The correct word for this city is not Mumbai or Bombay but "Kachra ka Dabba", let us clean the mess before fighting for its name. Are the Politicians and Citizens who love this city listening? Do they want to act? Do they want to make this City a truly world class, then stop fighting on silly , non existent issues and focus on REAL GENUINE PROBLEMS of the City.

Sometime back the Supreme Court had issued severe warnings to Raj Thackeray to behave. Since there is no change, I think, now the SC should extern him & his gangster team, out of Mumbai to Andamans for the next 6 years for sensible peace to prevail in the state. It has gone on too far already.

Needless political controvesy over this film......
by Globalcrusador on Oct 02, 2009 08:04 PM  | Hide replies

The futile controversy raised over use of the name Bombay in this movie raises a question whether Mumbai belongs exclusively to Raj Thackeray and his men or to the whole of India. Most of us have lived in Mumbai for several decades and loved the old name equally well because it was internationally well recognized for centuries and had a built up stature around it. In what way has the average citizen gained by this hasty change of name ? One only sees more & more narrow sectar-ianism perpetrated by self centred politicians.

Your observation itself reveals that you are yourself an idiot. Come up with a better, more sensible & mature argument, please
