Most of the discussion here is rape of a minor. Ok. So all agree that the maximum punishment should be given to the accused. But how did the girl land up as a 'domestic help' to the family? Can't it be called 'child labour' too? A rape is a rape. Be it of a minor or a major. Punishment for the offence should be to the maximum.Rape is not just a physical assault but more of an emotional one most of which go unhelped.
A) He will try and speak to the maid and her family...the maid being a minor, she will be bypassed and a huge some of money will be offered to the maid's parents..
B) Her parents will allow themselves to be bribed...and they will convince their daughter that Shiney Dada or Shiney Baba is a very nice man and he has promised them a flat in Mumbai....
C) Money will be put above girl's dignity and Parents will shamelessly close the case as a misunderstanding and enjoy the money....
Shiney will get away scot free with this heinous crime, her parents will enjoy the money, some middlemen will rake in the thousands, the lawyer of the girl will rake in the lakhs and everybody except the girl will go home happy....but ehh...that is the way it works in India!!
It requires a Neelam Katara to bring perpetrators to justice....she is true Mother India!!

Do you have one good reason to explain why do you so blindly believe that the maid is telling the truth? In the past, have there not been cases where females have had consentual sex and then made allegations of rape against males for extracting money or whatever?
At this early stage, is it not too early to conclude either way? Any prudent human being will wait and watch. Definitely don't give Shiney a clean chit, but at the same time, it is wrong to conclude that he has committed that crime!

yeah i read in the newspapers that shiney told mahesh bhatt(that producer, everybody knows him)that it was consensus... hence its gonna be very difficult to say anything unless the case progresses... but two things r gonna happen for sure
1)this will surely tarnish his image and probably flush his already rocky( not rocking, mind u) career.
2)and now his marriage will surely be in trouble.
only positive is that he will get a lot of negative publicity....which remains 2 b seen whether works 4 him or not

I'll tell you why......cos if it were a false case foisted on Shiney, there would have been no confirmation of rape...rape has indeed been confirmed as per police reports.....
And Shiney has admitted to the crime but is saying that there was mutual consent......basically he is trying to wriggle out of a tight corner......punishment can be from 7 years to life imprisonment....

Sex has been confirmed, not rape! All sexual acts are not necessarily rapes. Again, you are jumping to conclusions. It is a matter of time before it is proved whether the sex was consensual or without consent. Until then, don't be in a hurry to jump to conclusions!

Why? if people have sex with prostitutes or call girls, why is it so odd if Shiney felt like having sex with his maid? And..., is it also unthinkable that the maid, for a moment without realizing the consequences, also thought it was a priveledge to have sex with a leading bollywood actor even though perhaps later, thought of saving her skin by alleging rape?

As per your comments, she wanted to enjoy with a bollywood actor and also wanted money...and she has already got that experience with Shiney and will also get the money...then why has she filed a case??
