Kunal Gadha,

99% of the participants have chllenged the writer's list and questioned his thinking. You an Amit are one of the few jackasses who criticize others just for the sake of criticizing.

For once grow up and contribute sensibly, if

If you call them the most visually stunning movies, then less said about your intelligence the better.

Preeti Gadhi,

Thats what is wrong with our country. Because jackasses like u think that whatever more people do or think is CORRECT. Playing by safety in numbers. Na kabhi khud agey badhoge na dusron ko badhne doge. Typical low class mentality.

useless list
by Preeti Vikram on Jun 03, 2009 07:37 PM  | Hide replies

The writer does not know what he is writing. He has written utter rubbish and tried to push the list onto us as if he is an expert movie critic.Even a layman would have come with a better list. Visuals are one of the reason for a movie to be a hit. If these movies are stunning in visuals, how come they were not hits.

Also the writer has tried to pass of these films as " culled over the last 20 years". Almost all the movies are within 10 years of making.

The writer thinks the whole of the Indian movie goers are idiots and in his misplaced wisdom has tried to pass on a useless list on us.

Another one of those useless articles from Rediff.

Preeti, you don't even know what you are talking about, like most of the posters on this board. Needless to say that your knowledge of movie, esp photography is very limited.
Please come up with a list, lets see if you are better than a layman.

Amit,

Let us admit for a moment that I do not have any knowledge of photography. Let us assume for a moment that your great and wise mind knows all abt photography. So then let us see your list apart from the useless list provided by the writer. Let us what intelligent visuals your so called intelligent mind can come up with.

FYI I am a professional photography.

that's the writer's list Preeti...HIS opinion...no need to impose it on urself...as for ur comment on visuals leading to hits... one of the stupidest comments I've come across... u mean to say that the amount of money a film makes determines it's visual quality!!....films like Asoka and Eklavya failed at d box office...but u need to be a real dork( read idiot ) to say dat they had bad visuals...

I agree with you Kunal...its the writer's list. His choice of works. We don't have to necessarily agree to it. In works of arts the probability of personal favourites being same for all is very limited. We all have different sensibilities.
I think the list is only a starting point to decide on our own visually stunning films.
I don't think apart from Dev D and Blue Umbrella I found any of the other movies visually stunning. But that's my sensitivity.

Kunal,

I have been participating on the rediff board for more than 6 years and would like to say yours is the most idiotic and stupidest response ever I have come across.

I dont debate with less intelligent creatures like you who do not know anything about photography.

If you say Asoka and Ekalavya were visually pleasing movies, then I pity your intelligence.

Sarab,

Sorry. Typing error. It should read as Professional Photographer.

I can give some photography lessons to Amit K, Kunal Chandra and Rahul Joshi so that they will have better understanding of visual effects in a movie.

Preeti,
Arguing in this way in a public forum is really pathetic. Whether one likes/dislikes the writer's selection is completely up to the individual. You don't need to be a professional photographer to like visuals in a film. It would be similar to saying something like a non-singer can't like a particular song. A song is a song and can be liked/disliked by many. Ditto for a film's visuals or for that matter anything else under the sun.

Has Raja Sen has gone mad ?? What was so visually stunning in these movies ? These movies (except Bandit Queen)were so poor and failed miserably at the box office which shows that even the audience were not interested in seeing such visually stunning movies as per RAJA SEN !!

Hindi Films?

Hindi Films or copy of hollywood films? Let us know when Bollywood directors actually can make movies without any inspirations (or copying) from Hollywood movies. Mani Ratnam/AR Rahman are exceptions.
