completely agree. Meenaxi should be on top of the list - whether it was a Nawabi wedding in Hyderabad, Colorful song&dance sequesnces in Rajasthan or the wonderful visuals of Prague, the cinematography was mindblowing.

about the list
by Guest on Jun 05, 2009 12:52 AM

firstly half the guys who post a message here don't READ. they just shoot off plain DUMB messages. Allow me to reproduce here the disclaimer that this guy added on the first slide: But either way, this is eye-candy in the most glorious sense of the word. Don't even bother reading the words. This isn't about good cinema, it's about good looking cinema. Enjoy, eyes.
That taken care of, here's my only and biggest gripe with this article - a totally unbelievable LACK of striking imagery to accompany the article, which basically means the article has failed! I read the original article linked, very helpfully, in the first slide (all the dumb guys that cry foul on every raja sen review- note the journalistic integrity this guy displays here). the original article works solely because of the images - because that's its purpose. this article, notwithstanding all the eloquent entertainment it provides, can only be treated as handwaving. sheer handwaving.

Where are ramu's films
by Nonviolent on Jun 04, 2009 05:36 PM

List of visually stunning films cannot be completed without Ramu.

Almost all his movies are shot in the spot lights focussed on the face

very misleading selection
by giju thomas on Jun 04, 2009 02:44 PM

missed out on major movies like 1942-a love story, Hum Dil De chuke sanam, Devdas(2002), Mughal-e-azam, Asoka, Rang De Basanti, Kareeb, Virasat. Hmmm..guess everyone have their own viewpoints..the author preferred dark movies like no smoking and Dev D..I wonder how that's actually a visual treat..

1942-A Love Story should be included which has excellent camerawork by Binod Pradhan.. though a movie was flopped, it is remembered for Panchamda music, Cinemetrography and Performances..
