The religious facists of the Indian society , who hold the politics of ban and whim enforcement so dear - Muslim orgs against cartoons, Christians against Da Vinci Code, HJS against valentines day, MNS against north Indians, and so on, are nothing more, and nothing less than people with sub-evolved and stunted capability of higher thought.
In their view might is right and firebombing theaters, ransacking offices is the way to enforce their whim. I am not sure, why is the Indian state wavering in cracking down on such extra constitutional gangs.
Freedom of expression of one party starts to encroach upon that of a people, then the freedom of such a party needs to be curtailed.
There is nothing like "hurting Hindu sentiments" in the movie. Lord Ram thing in the movie was symbolic but not to be taken literally. It seems some political party wants to come into limelight..!!!
There is no value of Hin_du sentiments. Even nothing has been done against M.F.Hussain.Hindu literature had been destroyed by mughals.Our Vedas Upnishads etc are not known to us. Sanskrit is about to die.The Birtishe,US like to see dirty and poor India. They have given these awards because they feel superior by seeing this type of India.Britishers feel happy to see poor India.Thanks to saints like Swami Vivekanand who saved our culture from being abolished.Today who will save Hin_du culture.Gaarv se bolo hum Hin_du he.Kya bol payenge aap???

By making those statements I can understand that you are ignorant and illiterate about indian history.I'm sure you have read only the friggin RSS version of history. making movie about the poor or hindu, is nothing bad, their story has also to be told, movies are not all about rich , happy families, casinos, terrorist and sex .every story has its importance,every genre has its importance and place in this world,learn to appreciate art and truth, they have not shown anything wrong. what about the thousands of muslims killed in the mumbai , gujrat and other riots? I have an advice for you, don't get manipulated by american and RSS loving Indian media.Know the facts . Don't judge ISlam by the conduct of a minorityof its people. If you have doubts read the holy Koran,you'll see Islam is a very peace loving religion.

If they would have shown anything like mosque or Allah there would have been a strict ban in India done by pseudo seculars.But they have shown Lord Ram nothing will be done.Even M.F.Hussain did the same thing. Lord ganesha has already been depicted in toys.Nothing can be done ,Even Hindus has lost there thousand year old glory.The Vedas Upnishads all Hindu literature had been destroyed. To kill a civilization destroy its literature,thats what had been done till now. I wish these religious i.d.i.o.t.s kept their opinions to themselves. By supressing creativity we are all headed in the same direction as those societies mired in some premordial sharia rule. Religion should not be allowed any say when it comes to a nations economy or culture and arts.
As Indians need to appreaciate A.R.Rehman for making us be recognised in the Western Film Industry. He has won such prestigious awards and we Indians need to be proud of. Only the narrow minded and low mentality people who is always there to condemn each and every bit to their advantage. Let the barking dog bark. Keep it up A.R.Rehman Anil Kapoor ji.

These kids are running from a mob and they run into a child dressed as Ram. Thats all. It thought it was poetic and in the end the dialogue where he says "if there was no Allah or Ram, I would still have a mother" was lovely. His mother is killed. Mother is the same in all religions, thats what its about not about communal riots.

Hi nikhil, I have seen the movie several times, and I do not feel that even for a moment the movie has shown anything which hurts the sentiment of any religion. Though being a hindu, I strongly feel that if anyone claims such a thing, its just a publicity stunt and simply baseless.
