there are people who are sponsered to promote anti-hindu views with films danny was once a missionary ....people like deepa mehta, nandita das are getting fund from these Anti-nationals.
Dont these people have any other work. Can't these people fight for a noble cause instead of wasting their energy on these idiotic ideologies.
After watching this movie can't these guys fight for improving the life of those people living in slum. Instead of that they are fighting for someone who does not even exist.
With American sponsered media including all times network which is warnerbrothers company including cnn-ibn slumdogs got much hype... slumdog is nothing compared to taare zameen ..
People need to grow up. Poverty is a reality in India. You are blind if you dont see it. And yes, these are harsh realities. We all choose to ignore it and when someone points it out to us, we dont like it and call for bans and such.
Respect others freedom of expression. Imagine someone bans you from speaking your mind or even post in these forums..it's the same thing.
The underlying message of the film seems to have been forgotten. Of how someone from such a poor and unpriveledged background can also rise up and effectively win. It's a person's destiny. People asking for bans etc. are just trying to curb people from rising up. You are not global citizens..very narrow minded. And it hurts when a foreigner actually shows all these images of India which we have chosen to ignore and accept instead of doing something about it. So get off your high horse, and do something instead of calling for bans. What should be banned are people and organizations like these who can't treat people equally and curb freedom. This is not what we fought for 60 years ago.
These are just the thoughts and actions that still make us backward. Have a sense of humor. How many times have we seen children dressed up like Hanuman or other gods to beg on the streets. So if it's portrayed in a movie, what's the big deal. Movies are afterall a glorified or distorted (whichever way you look at it) version of reality.
