gud for a timepass
by Alloukik Agrawal on Jan 19, 2009 10:55 PM  | Hide replies

I wud like to raise a point untouched..recently a movie had come "Kung-Fu Panda"..
i think the movie has abt 80% of the content frm tht film..to relate dos 2 movies..1st of all..in both d movies the protagonists wer connected to food business..both wanted 2 do something else..n both wer trained by a kung-fu master..
both still Akshay steels the show n give the audience something to laugh..
Quite a timepass for thm who hvnt seen "Kung-fu panda"..especially for Akshays one-liners and slapstick comedy..

The author starts on a wrong note
by Virendra Singh on Jan 19, 2009 08:33 PM  | Hide replies

The author starts by assuming that Akshay Kumar doesn't know cooking. IN reality , its a common knowledge that he is a great cook.

CC2C is a disaster as per its budget.
by rehan on Jan 19, 2009 06:35 PM

On Friday the opening all over India wasn't too great either. The all India average opening on Friday was 65-70%. Normally the weekend collections see a rise even if the reports are bad but CC2C proved to be an exception with collections falling drastically at many places for the weekend. Also, just like Nikhil Advani's last release, Salaam-E-Ishq, the paid preview shows proved to be a big mistake as the negative word spread too fast resulting in low turnout, opine industry insiders.

The opening weekend collections for CC2C has been as follows in major multiplexes around India, PVR 55-60%, BIG Cinemas 50-55%, Cinemax 50-55% and Fun Cinemas 45-50%. Most of these multiplexes are seriously considering to reduce the number of shows allocated to the film and add Ghajini shows instead.

Akki is making himself valueless these days
by Naveen Goud on Jan 19, 2009 06:23 PM

Akshay Kumar was a hit king of the year 2007. but 2008 witnessed some idiotic storyline films from him. he is now concentrating in fetching more than on the storyline. his latest C2C is so boring and the entertainment element is totally missing.

hope he realises the value of entertaining his fans with some meaningfull and logically perfect movies. other wise he will be tagged as a Flop Kumar in coming years and if he loses the faith of his fans once, then he cannot regain it back.

Why waste time reviewing?
by Ravi Challam on Jan 19, 2009 06:21 PM  | Hide replies

Ok..so the film is crap just like most Bollywood crap. Then why the hell labour over a review? Dismiss it in one sentence, na. What else can you expect from semi-illiterate Bollywood producers, directors, script writers and the actors (ummm...call them chimps who swing and dance, make funny noises and faces)? The tragedy is that Bollywood believes success lies in appealing to the basic instincts, indulge in crassness, vulgarity and eroticism. I think, most of these Bollywood monkeys live their dreams through the movies they churn (rather fart) out. And Rediff is not far behind by devoting so much space for something you won't even crap on!!
