Ghajini has left DDLJ behind to become the highest domestic earner Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini, which released to packed houses on December 25, is on its way to create history by taking over the mantle of the biggest domestic earner so far, leaving behind Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Ghajini, a romantic action thriller that explores the life of a rich businessman who suffers from short-term memory loss following a violent incident, has earned Rs 200 crore in less than two weeks from its release. The film has grossed Rs162 crore in domestic markets and Rs 39 crore have come from overseas markets till end of second week. The film is still running to packed houses and may cross more milestones. Ghajini, a film that introduced Asin to Hindi cinema opposite superstar Aamir, was released with 1,200 prints in the domestic market and in a lot of small towns where films are not often released in the first week.

Frankly Speaking Ghajini is Better film than DDLj . Ddlj are same kind of masala movie we saw from last 20 years overall GHAJINI is Rocking
blockbuster is any film in which the producers gets a profit more than the actual cost of production by a huge margin whereas a hit means profit gained but in a less margin.... 4 ur informatin, swades was a hit overseas but not in india....it was a good film & was critically acclaimed but was not a commercial sucess in india!!the director ashutosh gowariker himself in an interview told that he was dissapointed with the audience response 2 swades in india....if u hav any doubt refer 2 any other sites on the web & u culd get the answer!!! while most of u are going crazy over srk's films...be it don, kank, oso or any other movie...1 must notice a thing...srk is working with either the chopras or johars or farah khan.........he should get out of the safe level & must work with other directors too like aamir does.....he does not work with the same directors or dont use the same masala formula again & again as most of the actors b it srk or akki or anyone does...........the reason why srk has more fans than aamir is that aamir mostly act in classy intellectual films which may not appeal to all the masses whereas srk or othrs are always doin the same kind of commercial potboilers which most of the fool like.............

2008 Shahrukh Khan Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi Shahrukh Khan continues to dominate with this third successive blockbuster Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. After Hrithik Roshan in 2006 and Akshay Kumar in 2007 the closest challenge is now from Aamir Khan who gives a historic blockbuster and the biggest hit of his career in the form of Ghajini. Akshay Kumar has another solid year with the super success of Singh Is Kinng Aamir Khan Ghajini Akshay Kumar Singh Is Kinng
On Wednesday, Aamir Khan's Ghajini became the first Hindi movie to gross Rs 200 crore at the box office worldwide. The film grossed over 'Rs 162 crore in the domestic market and Rs 39 crore' overseas, The Times of India reported. While the producer was evidently ecstatic, trade pundits were in the 'I told you so' mode. "The film was strong from Day One. It has been galloping like a one-horse race and, in my estimate, it will cross the Rs-250-crore (gross) mark very easily," the paper quoted trade consultant Amod Mehra as having said. Ghajini released with 1200 digital and analog prints across the country. According to the paper, the film has also reportedly made Rs 4 crore from gaming rights, Rs 21 crore for satellite rights and Rs 10 crore for home video and music rights. If all goes well, Ghajini might just overtake Gadar – Ek Prem Katha as the highest domestic Bollywood earner.
