I guess you will like movies like AAG and typical C grade movies.....Because these movies dont require brain in action....
movies r made in holly..r very much larger than life,,,,,,,,,either they use too much special effects,,,,,,,or movies r made on animals,computers,machines,war........on the heroes who doesnt exist on the earth like spider, superman, batman,,,,,,,,all movies are very much hypothetical,,,,,,,,,,,and these movies r appreciated in oscars,,,,,,there is nothing new ideas r left with holly,,,,,,

why cant you send your innovative and world class 'dance around trees' and 'hindu muslim love stories' to them for them to get great ideas ?

My dear friend you are not really into movies ,are you? Have you seen dog day afternoon, schindler's list, the pianist??????? First you watch them and then make comments-----they are all based on real events. even the aviator, blood diamond, crash, walk the line..... Alas bollywood needs another 50 years to at least compare itself.....

Its not racism....
Movies like TZP have been made in other countries since ages.. its only now that the Indian cinema spoke abt autism... this is new to india but old to west!! Its a good movie tho... but prolly dint bring anything new to the table..

its bit heavy to digest. All these guys are different. Nobody can replace Jim Carrey. Amir is also wonderful
aamir never respected indians whenever indian people nominated him or honored award.. the script of TZP was acopy of hollywood film and made intention to get oscar award. what a crap he dont accept indian awards but begs for oscar award??? he portray every time that he is on top but failed
Re: Amir has no respect for indians
by rupesh jha on Jan 14, 2009 04:15 PM
he does not accept indian awards because indian awards do not value quality movies rather they value the star power. You will never see that a SRK movie or a Amitabh Bachchan movie has not got nominations.Aamir is a gem in Bollywood who even makes non-commercial movies like TZP unlike SRK whose only motive is to make silly movies and earn more money.

i agree..TZP was supposed to be directed by Amol Guptey.. bt when Aamir saw it has offbeat movie and fetch him for some international awards. he sacked him.. and made himself director....he is so selfish...

No one forced him to produce & direct an "offbeat movie" and there is never a guarantee for any prestigoius international awards. There was no guarantee of commercial success as well since it was his first directorial attempt. You arguement , therefore, is illogical my friend.

there is a flaw in your statement. the "indian people" don't nominate actors for awards. Awarsd like filmfare are owned and operated by private entities and as such are totally in the hands of the organizers. In other words.... these awards are sold either for money or future prospects. They really aren't as fair as you think they are.

if the awards are sold for money then why the hell TZP was sent to oscar, dude if filmfare award is about only money then actors like amitabh, dilip kumar, rajesh khanna, etc.. are not dont deserve awards. check ur mind and what you are saying, you are not only insulting filmare but the sentiments fo million people accross the globe. actors like akshay kumar, govinda jealeous with others thats why they use words like awards are sold.

by aditya chandorkar on Jan 14, 2009 03:43 PM
Are you mad.....? This proves you dont have any knowledge of movies.....What did you like RAM Gopal verma's AAG....
TZP don't deserve to be nominated in Oscar. It was not a gud movie.. being aamir's movie. doesn't mean that it has to be a gud movie..even. movie just look like a documentary movie.. for doordarshan.
Re: Re: TZP
by sunil khera on Jan 14, 2009 03:24 PM

Re: Re: Re: TZP
by Yatin Shirali on Jan 14, 2009 04:22 PM

I Guess you did not carry your spects and ear plugs....or must be your screen got exchanged with some other Hashmi movie....
I enjoyed only Aag. My Aag inspired many people. I have Aag in me which can destroy this world. I am RGV. My Aag is worth it for Oscars. AB should get best actor for his role of Babban in my film.
