no muslim needs to do anything to prove to hindus. We are not a Hindu country we are a secular nation founded on the principle that people of different religions, castes and classes should all live together and we have managed to do this for over 60 years...
Three Cheers to Resul Pookutty. He is the only one who has dedicated this OSCAR to India and not to god or his mother. Unheard hero but has made the entire nation a part of this victory campaign. I stand by him.

sir ji, God is by default. nobody needs to thank the almighty. afterall yeh sab usika rachaya khel hai... but dedicating the award to nation needs a great brave heart.

its god matters. god is for all human beings. After god if any commitment that you have is to your mother. paradise is under the feet of your mother. its not under ur nation. bcos nations can change at any time(can u see now yugoslavia, ussr,east germany).so boundaries doesnt matter. but mother can never be changed. man has to give thanks first to god then to nation. learn first that ....

Let me ask you one question had this guys not won the Oscar would the entire nation be dejected. No we would have carried on with business as usual and rightly so.
If they have won the Oscar it is on their own merit and the very fact that they are Indians are reason enough for any true Indian to feel proud.
Today there are thousands of orphans and underprivileged children in different part of the country do we stand up to help even one of them. When they strive hard beat all odds and achieve some thing all of us want to bask in the reflected glory and try to judge their words and action. So don’t bother who said what if you have it in you go get it and say and do whatever you want.
When Rahman was 9 and had to look after his family he had only his mother to stand by him so he is very right in saying what he said and don’t forget the “Ma Tujhe Salaam song”.
But no point saying this to you guys who have your yardstick to measure the patriotism of every Indian.

Missed out one thing GOD may be by default for you for others it may be by design. It depends on the individual.
Congratulations to you and each and every participants of Slumdog. You are the real winner because this is very difficult to obtain such great award in technical side. I love you & Rahman very much. Mr. Rahman done better songs than in the Slumdog, but this picture is directed by a foreigner that is why the Americans give this award to this great man. But the Indian community already given the award to him for better songs than the Slumdog. Anyway now the whole world can understand the great man. Once again congratulates Mr. Rahman & Russel
My hearty congrats to Rahman and Resul. You made our country proud. My special congratulations from the bottom of my heart to Mr. Resul for this great achievement and making us proud of India in general and Kerala in particular, where the so called religous fundamentalists could not sow their seeds. Wonderful note.....religion spoils everything, it has no role outside our private lives and it is least destructive if it is kept that way. three cheers for the message of inclusiveness by Resul, he is the bigger winner.

u are a great comic material.....india is just known to the world till oscars for CRICKET...and mind u sachin.Dada,Dhoni,Sehwag...Gautam,....all are not north indians BUT Indians....u need to see ur doctor soon.....all indians are not supposed to be in Cinema,,,and look to win Oscars.....Bindra won Oly GOLD...u guys should be stripped and flocked in Public
