It is perplexing that Rahman did not acknowledge Sukhwinder Singh and Gulzar for credits as it is becuase of the beautiful lyrics of Gulzar for 'Jai Ho' and the soaring voice of Sukhwinder Singh that really made the song memorable. I suspect someone from ARR's camp sabotaged Sukhi's apperance at Oscars. Shameful to say the least. Pesonally, the music of Omkara, Jab We Met and even Musafir are much better than this movie.

he's credited Gulzar and entire crew of SDM..sukhi is part of SDM..they gave him only 30 sec

Rahman born in chennai in the year 1967. Go and see wikipedia if u have any doubt.

Mallus can only Sing ..they cant compose a song... All great Music directors are Tamils. (Illyaraja, Rahman).. A.R.Rahman was named Dileep Kumar born to Sekhar and Kasturi who were a Tamil Mudhaliar community before they are converted to a Islam. A.R.Rahman himself proudly announced that he was proud to born as a Tamilian and bring accalaim to INdia by winning the oscars. Get your facts right mallu axxhxles.
RaviShankar, Anoushka, Zakhir Hussain, Hariprasad Chaurasia, and now A R Rahman have proved that Indian music is the best in the world... Resul Pookuty has also done wonders in sound...So indian sounds are best!!! Also, though Jai Ho is not Rahmans' best, please listen to his background & theme scores (Escape & Mausam) & you will realise why it got Oscar
