If the sight of slums worries ppl, thn they shd do sumthing to remove the slums, rather thn bashing ppl making movie on it..... It is always nice to see others in a mess rather than see the mess within ourselves. All these countries have not half our population. They too have their share of poverty,child abuse, what not. Had their population grown to our proportions, they would have a war by now. If they say it is a good movie, it's fine. But we Indians can't say that. There is nothing more shameless than that. I think most people who are commenting on this negatively are the ones who has not seen the movie. It is quite a different feeling once you have seen it. It is indeed a uplifting movie and it is one of the most beautiful romantic movie you will come across. Hindi is a popular medium now and many abroad in Africa,Middle east and Asia Pacific sees hindi films for not the language but for the sheer colour,songs and other glamour, and that credit you will have to give to Indian film makers. We are a truly international film industry may be second only to hollywood. It points out how the movie survived negative reviews and oppositions to become a winner. At one point of time, the original producers dissassociated them with the project.
