when will Indians get back and concentrate on building India?
Probably only when they are kicked out of US. So Obama, thanks for stopping the H1B visas.

Well Obama has to make sure tht US citizens hve jobs...so its correct frm his point of view, if he's giving them preference to US workers over Indians wth H1-B...If same thing had happened in India, Indian wud also hve given prefrence to its citizens...

Obama is responsible for livelihood of his countrymen.....not fr Indians.....
If same situation

Schadenfreude Millionaire
by abhi deb on Feb 24, 2009 06:01 PM  | Hide replies

I fail to understand why Indians are going berserk on a tale that shows the country as a filthy down-trodden third world country. And to boot, the story is not even worth a darn penny. Agree with what is stated on one blog (shashwatdc.com), this movie hardly deserves the accolades and Danny Boyle is immensely lucky. You are right Shashwat!!

Come on!!! Show signs of some tolerance man!!! A movie is just meant for entertainment does not aim at harming anyone's sentiments or show others country in dark!!! I dont know why people make so much noise before and after the movies release!!! It happened with jodha akbar, billu, ghajini, and the list is just countless!!! Come on if india needs to come ahead to become a superpower then we need to have a tolerant society which can absorb the punches thrown at it and reply back harder!!!

if you watched the movie closely you would see that the blind boy is injured to become a 'blind' boy and he was not born blind...and you would also notice that he was smart even before he was blind...

I always knew Mumbai is a great city...slums or without slums, I simply love the city. Slums, poverty etc., is every where in the world. Our country is the best. If it had all the population we have, USA would never have fed their people. We do, our country isstillcalled Annapurna.

Indians have to always stoop before they can conquer.........!
by Cedric Vaz on Feb 24, 2009 04:30 PM  | Hide replies

First they (the Yanks) called us slummies, then dogs and then finally gave us the Oscars!
It's a shame that a famous & successful Indian actor like Anil Kapoor touched the feet of British actor Sir Anthony Hopkins! I don't think even a white spot boy would ever touch the feet of our great actor Amitabh Bachhan.
When will our Indians learn to hold their heads up high? And not be in awe of their western counterparts, as we are as good as them, may be even better!

Whats your problem man!! Touching somebody's feet is not a shame always its a form of showing there respect.Indian's are the best in the world in showing immense respect even to our enemies.Don't just make comments.Slum's are everywhere, accept the fact. Whats wrong if somebody shows the other side.I think you are habituated of watching masala movies from Emraan Hasmi, take a break dude..
