Rahman has given this movie the music that even the smartest musician could not have imagined the how about,he sure has the blessing of god to turn every sound to music that brings in the soul search for its roots be it in happiness or sorrow.

Dany should make us proud making some dirty adult movies in India. Why not he makes movies on innocent Talibanian and Iraqi civilians,tribes and children who died of hunger fasting starvation epidemics and devastating bombardment mercilessly done on their head and motherland for their no fault at all? If Laden did some mistakes they should have driven him out from his cave and punished him publically ? It doesn't mean that you will proceed systematically to ruine the whole race corporatively and collaboratively. British are interested to point out and blame on India only because unlike them it possesses majority of poor insane retarded people of diverse culture and religion and it is not much concerned about the opposite one specifically. India is sheltering feeding and clothing such a huge population generously ? Did they have such a big heart ever ? Whole world should protest and boycott this movie and go against these mean minded Britishers. Shame for them.
After Steven Spielberg announced that Slumdog Millionaire had won Best Picture last night, did you happen to notice which hilarious Bollywood egotist was the first one to the stage? Of course it was serial podium rusher Anil Kapoor! Once Danny Boyle and producer Christian Colson arrived at the microphone, they had to motion for the film's cast members to follow them — but not Anil, because, somehow, incredibly, like a pompadoured bolt of lightning, faster than a poop-covered slumdog, he had already made it out of his seat and up the stairs. How did he do it? Did he bodysurf over the first ten rows? Had he just been hiding under the podium the entire night?

LET Him do that, why do you bother yaar. after all he is not going to get such an opportunity in his life again (nor did he ever dream that he would go up the academy awards stage in his life) so he must have been excited. Poor Anil !! you should also behave little better as you see how people notice such things:-)

You mean to say that every movie,every star & others till today have won Oscar because they were best.Please once watch the movies which has won Oscar & u will realize that its not that there were no good movies in the world, but recognition is much important then quality.Be positive man otherwise u will always complain about everything in your life.We all know that music of Dil se,Bombay was far far better but nobody outside India recognize that.So there were no Oscar.

YEs its the best music in Hollywood. Bollywood is not consider as oscar award is mainly for English/hollywood movie and the only catagory its gives award to non hollywood film is foriegn film. So go first and watch the other options probably you kid will decide for you which is the best

Rahman has scored excellent music before but they were not noticed by the West because the movie directors were Indians and there was not much of publicity. SLM director was British white person, got some attention and advertisement so the music won even though it was all full of average tunes.

Come on guys It is India & Indians to celebrate.Slumdog's triumph.. I cannot understand why so many on this blog from TN smarting up & saying long live Tamila... Grow up. In US no one knows you North or South Indian or Tamil or Bengali. To them all of us are Indians. So let us celebrate this as Indians.
By the way on micro level & to my tamil friends. ARR is not a Tamil- Born to Mallu parents..his father A R Sekhar is a malayalee music director who died when ARR was 9 yeras old.

where were you when Sachin was praised as Mumbai Maratha warrior? is he not an indian too? Every state will have their own pride and AR Rahman is from Tamil nadu (you dont need to tell whether he was born 50 kms inside Kerala border, who asked you those details. Ultimately he spoke a sentence in Tamil) I am not saying you have to be regional and strongly agree nation comes first. We all feel the same. But why is the bias, if he was from Mumbai, then you would jump up and down saying Mumbai maratha has made u proud. Let whoever wants to say long live tamila, say that. Let them say "Jai hind" too. thats what matters. Well, US people may not know whether u r south indian or north indian, but even here, people give more importance to state they live. ofcourse, when it comes to international things, their country takes a bigger stage. This is the original song on which "Jai Ho" is based on. It was composed and sung by AR Rahman for a Tamil movie called "Azhagiya Tamizh Magan" and that's why he reacted with this word "Ella pughalum iraivanuke".
Many Many congrats to him for the achievement. Also Resul Kutty is equally did our country proud on Oscar. Hope to see more of these awards in future.
I wish my heartful comgratulation to Rehman,Rasool & Gulzaar sahab.They made us proud on international level.This is not that they made proud to Tamilnadu or some other state.Nobody in America or Europe knows name of indian states, they know India.Hence i feel very proud about it.Please don't try to divide india on the name of states.This is a moment to enjoy so celebrate!
