by kalmesh sindagi on Feb 23, 2009 02:16 PM

Respected PM on what basis you are wishing slumdog team? Isn't it shameless....

Congress all atime speaks about poor bbackword people and it don't want poor people to come forward...

Dirty politics.... Want to get credit becauese slums in India are because of congress and because of them Slumdog won oscar...

Next time dont vote for congress ... Dirty politics... We don't want to see another slumdog winning oscar.... (Remove dirty dogs first)

distortion of reality
by Rajdeep Drohi on Feb 23, 2009 02:09 PM

there is no equivalent for slumdog in hindi. we dont refer to people living in slums as dogs in mumbai. we dont insult people's background on KBC in India, rather the hosts encourage them. Rama is not a symbol of evil and does not exhort people to kill those who do not believe in Him. this is a one sided, british film on india, like a gutter inspector's report. A R Rahman has done much better but they give him an Oscar for this fare. Well congrats to all who won an Oscar but this win is tainted by anti-India bias

NATION ON ''AUTO-PILOT MODE ''?
by damodaran mohan on Feb 23, 2009 02:08 PM

It is good to get the feel of presence of PM in the country. Only when we read the morning newspapers we can feel PM’s presence through his Photographs in the full page Ads issued by the authorities of NREG, JLNURM , PSUs etc. For nearly a month the Sonia-MMS duo have put the country on ‘Auto-pilot’ mode with no PM to articulate Nation’s viewpoint on important developments in Pakistan and Sri-Lanka. Of course, Pranab Mukherjee is doing a fine job but he is not even acting PM ? How does release of AQ Khan and laying of red carpet to Talibans by Pakistan affect India? True, India cannot dictate SL on their internal matter relating to LTTE. But can’t India firmly tell SL that Tamil civilians’ death is not acceptable instead of couching the statements in diplomatic jargons ? SL Army can blockade all sea and land routes to prevent escaping of Prabhakaran and devise system to regulate civilians evacuation to safe zone without LTTE cadres sneaking out. Can India approve SL army acting like LTTE and bombing of Hospitals and killing of thousands of civilians ? Would Rajapakshe allow Sinhalese in so many numbers to die in cross-fire ? It is time the Pilot takes over the reins soon from the ‘Auto-pilot’ mode.

Congrats to President and PM of of slumdogs
by Suresh S on Feb 23, 2009 02:05 PM  | Hide replies

Congress surely deserves an Oscar for creating the Theme for Slumdog millionaire. Almost 50 years of rule by Congress and Nehru family had made our lives like that of the slumdogs. And these shameless bootlickers holding the highest offices are praising the film.
