"Dev D" has been acknowledged by all as the 2nd universal success after "Raaz: The Mystery Continues"- The later 1 can never touch the artistic and box office value of Dev D
A total crap movie. Too much bold and i guess the Indian audience is not ready for such type of movies where even the pubs and discs are not acceptable. I am just surprised how the censor board cleared the movie without any hassles for Anurag K.

ur itself saying crap and also adding to it that indian audiences are not ready. Ur not the judge for the people of india so avoid such statements. i loved themovie the whole concept of it.
this is of the worst movie altogether after ramu ki aag which i have seen, and its an offence to show devdas saga in this way total stupidity of direction.

DEV-D ,its a marvel . People who dont like it either dont have an open mind or an intellect. it simply is a tale of human perception. Dev the protagonist is a as much human as you and me with all the human faults.(For we've seen 100000 bollywood movies with true love and virtuous lead hero movies, its about time people start giving reality a chance)As for the review if Mr Mahmood can give 4 to LUCK BY CHANCE "DEV-D" deserves a perfect 5.LUCK BY CHANCE DINT EVEN DESERVE A 3

Mate, honestly its because of viewers like yourself that the evolution of the indian film industry is so slow, because producers and directors are obviously money rational, cant blame them, its their job, and thats why they only usually invest into what they believe to be a typical indian love story or family entertainer, because it appeals to the mass audience. That however, does not reflect how good a film is, instead only means that the overall psyche and perception of ppl in the country is still at a shortfall, expand your horizons! Especially if you watch alot of english films, you would know how they portray some many crazy ideas with so many different character mindsets, it makes u se things from many different angles, nd you need to be able to relate to it. This film, Dev D, is fantastic! Im a pretty big bollywood critic myself, with the typical ideology, the coincidences, the predictable boring plots and the hollywood copies. This film however, is an artistic masterpiece. The acting, the visuals, the music and most of all, the psyche of the characters...the guys a stoner, plenty out there, a drunkard, also plenty out there, and a guy whos stuck in a crazy whirpool of thought with his pride, ego and helpless feelings which make his mind waffle. Relate to it, its crazy! takes guts to put a film like this out there in the industry, its called following the heart, not the money...hats off

A film thats different doesnt make it brilliant..Dev D is a different genre kinda movie and its total crap.
awesome movie n the two songs(pardesi & emotional atyachar) which r creating hullagulla among the youngsters, a must watch for the young generation.....

I absolutely agree, i couldn't even watch it on DVD!! crap crap crap.....even i am wondering why are people going crazy over it....
i think dev D is a very very mordern verison of old Devdas. Anurag has definatley try a different way to show another side of Devdas, but somwhere anu has lost its way on direction part..
