so by watching these 3.5 star i was atleast hoping that this movie is atleast half as good as tare zamin par or rang de basanti or love aaj kal list goes on.........

finaly i want to say this movie sucks n if u can pretend to laugh on cheap so called comedy then too plz dnt watch it...... ull laugh on ur self

Jab We Met
by Deepak Bhavnani on Sep 01, 2009 03:34 PM  | Hide replies

Movie 'Jab we met' was recently aired on an English Channel in UK. Having watched the movie, it may be said that the basic premise of the movie has been lifted from a Hollywood movie 'Forces of Nature'.

In Forces of Nature, Ben affleck is about to get married to Bridget and going from New York to Savannah where his bride is waiting for him. While on plane he meets Sandra Bullock. The plane skids on runway so Ben who has a fear of flying decides to take a car instead to Savannah and Sandra joins him in a car.

Because of series of mishaps, it takes Ben 2-3 days to reach Savannah and on the way through series of events gets drawn to Sandra so much so that he starts having doubts whether he wants to get married to Bridget at all.

In Jab we met, instead of male, it is the female (Kareena) who finds herself in the same predicament.

I do hope Bollywood start thinking of some original ideas instead of simply stealing basic plots from Hollywood.

your movie has been copied indeed by bollywood...but Not so much by Jab We Met as by "Pyar To Hona Hi Tha" of Ajay Devgan, Kajol and i don't remember to third person...but Kashmira Shah was also there in the film...to add something of its own, in the bollywood take, Sandra Bullock's role was played by Ajay Devgan....

QGM should be a good spoof... u have to watch it with that sense and not to get into racial attacks..i havnt watched it yet..
by the way 'pyar to hona hi tha' is a shameless copy of movie the 'french kiss' starring meg rayan and kevin klien, their another movie 'u me aaur hum' is based on another Hollywood movie the 'notebook', one of the most beautiful romantic movie i have ever seen.originality is a rare find in Indian movies these days

Wasn't that great

Its easy to make 4-5 minute clip with these character, but an entire movie is a tough task. The jokes become very predictable and stale after sometime. It was a good effort but I feel the movie could have been made better. Rajendra Prasad did his best as Q.G. Murugun, Rambha as Mango Dolly, she's fat.

The reviewer should be shot for giving it 3.5 stars. The movie is a total bakwas movie. The director and producer also to be shot for wasting so much money.

Well said Srinivas. In Australia you are free to comment against the Prime Minister. In India you cant even comment against your ward member, next day goons will ransack you. There are over 1000 people illegaly detained in Saudi Arabia. the Indian media will not open its mouth for this purpose. When it comes to commenting against the atrocities of Indians in Middle east - the media knows one thing - the word "fear" has four letters.
