When Amitha bachan got hit during the shooting of coolie in bangalore, some northy ANPADS tried to commit sucides. When the same Amithab was admitted to the hospital recently, his fans had done Pooja and Homam in the temples.
Why so much fuss over banning of non kannada movies. Are kannada movies even showed in "cosmopolitan" cities of AP, TN, kerala. Mind you there are kannadigas there also, and if they also practise what they preach for Bangalore, we have no issues....we like that take and give policy because it's high time we do which should have been done by those pro kannadigas uncles long time and prevent this issue becoming a menace instead of talking now. This should have stopped all those ppl who have profited from bangalore to stop taking advantage of the hosts in the name of nationalism/indianness when they don't really practice this in their states.

Kannada will be treated equal only if Kannadigas strive for that.. I have recently been to a telugu movie in one of the theatres in Bangalore and saw more kannada people than telugu people.. it was a small theatre far away from city..the kind of huge rush was never there for any kannada movies..this is not just for one movie but many telugu movies over the span of many years.. many of my kannada friends never watch a kannada movie but go to any extent to watch a telugu or a hindi movie.. now whose mistake is that a kannada movie is not getting released in a non karnataka city.. is it not the job of the producers to find a distributor and get his movie released over there ?? is the only option to ban non kannada movies..why doesnt the kannada industry take this matter competitively and strive for better quality.. i am a hard core fan of telugu/tamil music and i sometimes get shocked to see that most of the kannada movies have music copied from telugu/tamil.. not just music but screenplays/stories etc..try to make original and good quality films and everyone including me would queue up to watch a good kannada movie
Firstly, it is a big mistake that Bangalore is the capital city of Karnataka. Bangalore is bordered to AP and TN unlike Hyderbad of AP and Chennai of TN.So obviously if any non-kannada film releases, more and more people from ananthpur, chittor, kammam, darmvaparam, hindupur of AP and people from Hosur, krishnagiri, Jolarpet,kaatpadi etc of TN rushing to Bangalore to watch the movies of their pet heroes/heroines of their own language.After watching the movie, the same people will steal bikes/cars (Because of movie's hangover)and return back to their respective home towns/states.This is happening since many years.I really pity about bangalorenas who have built some theaters to screen Non-kannada movies only to accommodate for majority of thieves and chain snatchers.

But Upendra's Telugu movie kanyadaanam was really nice.
Ithink anti Chiranjeevi community is doing this unnecessary acts over this movie......if chiranjeevi wouldn't have come to politics his son would have been spared.....
Ashamed of kannada films,bad movies,hero-heroin bad faces,low level films of jaggesh,stupids kannada industry first maintain level and standards,dnt talk about Telugu films they hav their own indentity wat kannda films has giv all new and old kannada movies online in net raj movies also.No good Directors no good songs.Y u people make issues for telugu film,if u hav guts kannada industry show it by making good level films.Fisrt ban remake films in kannada.Being kannadiga it hurts to talk on non kannada films but kannada film industry has bcum like dat.Jaggesh vijay lose mada horible to see them on screen asayya agutte nowadays, heroins are scraps where wil u poeple select them,improve quality level and standard in kannada films.Rajkumar DoreyBhagvan films were so good old, even new milana mungaru male was so good but not after dat.Select kannada heroins and new heros giv chance for others. try for good directors in kannada dnt talk about other films.Being a kaanadiga hurts to talk like dis.

Have U seen recent movies like Loveguru, Kabbadi, Eddelu Manjunatha, Malebarali Manju irali??? These movies are far better than the craps U guys rave about in other languages. So if UR ashamed it shows how stupid UR.

You stupid idiot moron why you blame actors based on their look? No body has liked the appearence of Michel jackson, Jenet jackson, Wiil smith based on their look or color.if it comes to indian heroes why you people are crying abouth the look and appearences? The protest is not against Telugu people and the film itself, but it was the protest against by one idiot vijayakumar, the distributor who has released this movie in more theaters in bangalore without the knowledge of KFFC which were previously allotted to kannada films.So know the fact correctly and talk!
