Perhaps after Mahatma Gandhi, its Amitabh Bachchan only who is synonymous to India. From a small kid to old man/women every one loves him. This man has done nothing wrong against any one that he should be constantly harrassed time and again, just becuase he belonged to some region. Its just shocking to see the silence of government and law enforcement bodies to protect the basic rights of Amitabh Bachchan. Under pressure of antisocial elements like Raj thackray MNS his movie screening has been stopped...and the government of maharastra is playing vote politics instead of enforcing law and order.
If this can happen to a person of his stature one can understand the severity of situation for a common man and hsi valid mistrust into the law and governance of this country. This is now too much.

he is the same actor who cheated the government, poor farmers, etc. Bachchans are big money lappers. it is evident.
At least Rajnikant is not afraid of showing off his bald scalp in real life; Amitabh is so bound in his image poor guy cant even take off his wig. tutt tutt However that is no reason to hate him and he should nt be kicked out of Mumbai for that. But he d get a kick for producing Abhishek.

What AB's wig has to do with it. Look at you, you dont even have the guts to let people know your real name, and critisising others for not bieng true. Do we call this hipocrasy?

What Amitabh can do if he has not gone bald like Rajni? perhaps Rajni got mads like you around which was enough for him to become bald!

Hehehee!!! Amitabh is bald but because he is hero of backward people he does nt take off his wig. HEhehehee Rajni is appreciated by classes and masses and is not scared of taking off his wig
Lets not say your are Maharashtrian, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu or any other, lets all say we are Indians, problem solved right here. Sometime the words roll of the mouth by any person, it doesn’t mean there intensions are wrong. For that matter name any one politician who is pure by there words, be happy that Mr. Bachchan's family came forward and asked for apology, most of then even don’t bother to do so.
I request you all to stop the matter here, as I’m in USA, I know what the outside world is talking about Indians.

Mr Bachchan must leave Maharashtra. Marathi people will never tolerate any anti Maharashtra statement.
They are the ones who can take on the goondas of thakray. These guys created havoc in all the areas but dared not enter bhendi bazaar. Muslims can provide us ths street support. We have teh money and votes. We can rule Bombay.

Correct brother. "Bombay" belongs to you not "Mumbai", so go back to "Bombay"

Before also lot of attempt is made people like you. Mumbai is integral part of Maharashtra. Marathi people will never tolerate any anti Maharashtra statement.
It is high time the SC came down heavily on Maharashtra CM's total abdication of responsi- bility in the case of Amitabh Bachchan, where in, an individual can get the premierre of his film cancelled. When will this Talibanism by a few individuals stop ? All fraternity members must stand up together and fight for their rights or Bollywood as a whole should move out of Mumbai.
It is true that the Big B has gained his fame and success here in Bombay..and so have many others. He has not done anything to date to make the locals feel bad or inferior. I think Raj should stop Bachchan bashing to get cheap brownie points from his vote bank and move on to more important things like the development of Maharashtra. And yes, if Raj goes to U.P. and claims that he is proud to be a maharashtrian, i can say with surety that no one will care for his statement and none will be offended. He should try it. And i hope that once and for all we leave our legendary icon alone..Instead of awarding them for their geniuses we go on a witch hunt.

I don't like Raj thakery's politics. But in this case, Jaya Bachchans comments were totally unwarranted. She was trying to be sarcastic, I guess.
