Fed up of these non sense issues
by jagadish dandin on Sep 10, 2008 05:19 PM

There was no need for Jaya to say those words. Bachans of late are more than often inviting troubles which is totally unncessary. And the media will be waiting in the wings to highlight these non sense. Please go to bihar and report the plight of biharis instead..

People are not seeing the fuss created by Jaya Bacchhan
by firefly on Sep 10, 2008 05:08 PM  | Hide replies

Im a staunch Amitabh Fan and proud to say a Maharashtrian. We dont see him as a UP or any state star. Do we?No!

There was no need for Jayaji to have said "i apologise to Marathi people for not speaking in marathi as Hindi is our language."

Did any one or even RajT say about speaking Hindi? No! So why this unneccssary thing to further create disharmony?

Particularly Priyanka Chopra should be bashed for her vulgar remarks. It showed her status quo.

If people can blame RajT for being goonda....what can we call such careless and nuisance women? "Chiccchorees"?

The mud slung has wrapped none but the two ladies themselves.

Maharashtra has lost respect for them.

Hurting Amitabh is not right
by Kabadan Y on Sep 10, 2008 05:02 PM

He is a hero not just for Maharashtra, India but the whole world. Expecting him to fall at the feet of some monkeys every now and then shows the culture of us. If what he has done can be construed as a crime, then God save us all. One day we all will be falling at the feet of such third rate guys. Amitabh is very gentle in handing out appologies and have respect for such a soul. You want to grow ride your own horse and not on others fame and time.

Only Movies in Marathi should be made
by Archie on Sep 10, 2008 04:53 PM  | Hide replies

Taking Raj Thackerey's senseless arguement to its logical(??) conclusion should also mean that actors who are based in Mumbai should act only in Marathi films. Hence Bollywood should be making only Marathi films.

Archie can u blame the whole Bihar for the crimes their politicians do? No! right?

Similarly u cannot blame all Maharashtrians for RajTs comments.

Do u know 70 of Marathi people dont support him.

Instead why dont u people see wht is happening in Kashmir?

People are trying to color the Indian flag complete green instead of the tricolor.

Do u have guts to say anythign against this?

Firefly!!
I was not condemning Maharashtrians in my post. I was trying to portray the senselessness of Raj T's arguments.

I don't see any similarity between the situation in Maharashtra and Kashmir. Also this was an article on Maharashtra so saying anything about Kashmir seems pointless. You are welcome to browse Kashmir related articles to see my posts there.

While Kashmiri separatism and secessionism can not be tolerated at any cost, New Delhi will have to initiate confidence building measures to address the resentment.

Do you really mean to so that, since people in Kashmir are blackening our national tricolor, Raj Thakrey is right in doing all these. And you dont need courage or sth fro incidence like Kashmir or Kandahar or Kargil. Marathis pls wakeup and earn some self respect in people's eye

Mayawati. arent u CM of UP?
by Amit Tripathi on Sep 10, 2008 04:50 PM  | Hide replies

Then why dont you just rise to the occasion and embrace Amitabh Bachchan with both hands forgetting your political rivalry with SP and Amar Singh. Show the proud ownership of Amitabh. Maharashtra's envy and UP's Pride. What can be a better feeling than to have both Taj Mahal and Amitabh both in UP.
- Change the name of Allahabad to Amitabh.
- Subrot Roy Sahara , pls make Allahabad bigger and better than Amby Valley.
- Anil Ambani, build teh worlds best Film sity in teh outskirts of Allahabad that can make Hollywood shy.
- Our nation icon, teh existing Kohinoor deserves nothing less than that.
- You can invite Sachin Tendulkar as well there and honour him as a national treasure. He is not safe in teh hands of Marathi and Thakereys.
- Then you can invite all the marathis to come and work in UP. A lesson to Marathis, how to treat your fellow countrymen. (they are crying for their diminishing culture).
Trust me you can all the seats of SP in coming Lok Sabha election and people will make you CM for life time in UP, unless you want to become PM.
You very well know that road to Delhi goes through UP.

There are alot of other issues for the nation. Stop talking stupid words like marathis, this and that.. act unified and act as an indian. Is mumbai is the only state in INDIA?? India is a divercified country you have rights to speak and she spoke only the national language. Are the maharastra people are hurt because of the simple word i am not comfortable with marathi. I think raj thakare is not a politician. He is a trouble maker.. he is bringing trouble to the nation. Hope when the country stop backing this kind of rouge people. Jai Hind

Mr. Jayesh..I have lot of educated Marathi friends at my work and they all say that the educated class in Marathi people do not support Raj actually they condem him.....They also say that Raj was a migrant himself from MP....what right he has to say someone that they are outside of Bombay.

This Raj is just trying to earn political mileage by using Amitabh name. I open the links only because I see the name Amitabh in it......who cares about Raj.

Mark my words....people has much more respect for Amitabh than Raj and you will see that people will show there anger in elections....Raj will be wiped out. People are afriad of his power and his goondas so they cannot speak up now but they will for sure show him his place in election.

If I say " I'm Delhi wala" or "I'm UP wala" - am I commiting any crime ? I'm proud to belong to Delhi and HINDI is my national language. Nobody's sentiments can get hurt by my acceptance of who I am or what I do. Is Maharashtra not part of India?

Obviously noy everyone has pride about thier states but there is a way to express it the way mrs. jaya bachan made the statement was very bold and indicating that it was sarcastic irresponsible taunt so she deserves it and should be more responsible in future. you cant just forget the way she made remarks.

Dude no one has objections on your sayin anything. But look at the timin Jaya chose to speak and the tauntish nature of her tone, was meant to tease. Which is not acceptable after you spend glorious years of your life in a city of which you are making a mockery.
You can belong anywhere and can claim so, but please you dont have a freedom to inult or tease anyone.
And FYI. Jaya Bachchan is Bengali.

Re: jai Maharashtra.....good clen up drive...throw all Bhayias and South Indians and NorthIndians out from Maharashtra
by Sarah Naik on Sep 10, 2008 04:46 PM
Yes, there are many South Indians in Maharashatra who never speak in Marathi nor in Hindi. They only speak broken English in South Indian accent and think that the are great. They are selfish and hypocrites.
