I Don't understand these Thakerey Guys......everyone wants to earn money n fame......I m staying in USA......ofcoz i want to have all my comforts here...earn hell lot of money.........but the i don't say i m American.......I m Indian.....n proud to be indian.......watz wrong if i earn money here......send some to my family in India........If i have to charity.....i'll definitlely want to help poor in India......I am a sikh.....my religin say to gat 1/10th of ur earning to help some one in need...or for god........i take some part of my earning every month.........but then i donate it in India......So that means its wrong tooo.......I am earning here n helping my back home.......

dear friend,i have been to south india ,kerala for 3 years for my p.G. in medicine and i have seen the extreme hatred towards hindi and north indians in general.(even though i am from pune ,for them i was north indian)
they are so obsessed with their own language,culture,haritage but they call it a pride.
basically most of the maharashtrians are liberal,very secular,open minded and thinking people. this is the reason why you will find people from every corner of the india staying happily in maharashtra.
industries like bollywood flourish just due to this reason. but if person like jaya bacchan speaks something rubbish ,provoke unnecessarily. and pseuda intellectuals support her.
its bound to creat pseudo pride in open hearted people.
polititions like thakerays are going to benefit from them.
what thakaray wants from this bollywood people that they should respect local culture,local language, local community.
if people like jaya keep doing mistakes, its going to vitiate the secular ,open ,free climate.
everybody knows that thakerays are doing politics then why you are giving them chance to bark on you?

Its not bombay who has given a lot to non-marathis .... it is the non-marathis who have done alot to help bombay progress. Not just movie stars but so many middle class people working day and night , PAYING income taxes are non-marathis who have worked hard to pay those money in taxes. Yes nicely done, it's overcoming the fear of a vision where Mumbai, as a port metroplois is India's gateway to the West, the East could have been Kolkatta but the commies have blown that one with a similar limited lack of vision - a vision which is in the best interests of the greater common good, a definition of politics. Open the mind, open the doors, clean up the corridors of government & get on with it coz the Middle east will get the job done before India.
Politicians job is to serve the nation and her public.
What benefits are people of this country getting when politicians target Film actors or the Film actors target poliicians.
Is that solving the basic requirement for the Food, shelter, clothing, jobs in Mumbai or in the country or increasing the GDP or decreasing inflation.
India is running by the middle class who work for themselves directly and helping the nation. Whether you work for MNC or state or Govt sector doesn't matter....BUT AT LEAST YOU WORK.But what these politicians do NOTHING. Media is the biggest culprit in making them HERO. rightly said maratha, i have one friend who is from UP, but he is so much mixed up here that now he can talk in marathi better than i do, he liked it here so much that he never been to his place again , and ya he never complains abt marathi language or people he says language can never be somebody's enemy
