Reviewer writes..."so you sit through movie which fails to make much sense".
This is nothing new in Hindi cinema. Most film-makers think that a majority of the Indian population prefers "leave-your-brain-behind" comedies with big stars than intelligent comedies, and the makers are too happy to churn out such movies.
Can we hope for a new generation Hrishikesh Mukherjee any time soon?
I think they (Balaji/Eros/Adlabs/YRF) should learn from UTV, by UTV producing Rang De Basanti, Life in Metro Jodhaa AkbarAAmir,Mumbai Meri Jaan, A Wednesday, SAjjanpur & Just released Fashion............They even not earned money but also got appreciation from public.

I have to agree with you here that UTV has made some sound decisions in their investments in recent times.
Seems like they look for content first instead of who would direct or act in it.

There is absolutely no difference between Ekta's regressive TV shows and her even more outdated movies. Worst still, there are directors who believe that their movies can become superhits if they approach Balaji Films.
