raja sen is spot on..what a fn dumb movie..i m sure half of the people out there dint even understand 70 % of the movie..people just watch action thats it.
Bond has been all about style. The aura he dispalys, the disarming smile and cool attitude. This was all missing. Bond is" My Name is Bond, James Bond". Movie might be good but there is nothing of BOND here

Stop blaming Raja sen here..This is so disgusting that, whatever he writes you people are opposing. Anushu, you might be thinking that he gave a bad review about the movie and you know what i think!?! The movie is just a FLOP which is not worth a single penny.I think, raja sen could have given just one star for it.Bond should have the Bond look,Bond moves, weapons, tactics and ofcourse, the special car. Here, its just like another damn action movie.

My dear friend if you get same things in every bond movie, would it be nice to watch. It is good that these people have tried to think out of box and give something different. You all pseudo intelligent people comment in either case. Have you ever seen such high voltage chases in recent times? I am sure if it would have been a typical bond movie, you would have criticized it for not being different. Did you see the phones with high power internet and those touch screens in the conference room? No why because you were in your sweet dreams. The problem with people like you is that you do not see beyond yourself. Anyways, sorry to waste your and my time in this worthless discussion.

Well, I think Mr. Anonymous, (Step brother of Raja Sen) is supporting Raja Sen just bcoz even he doesnt understand Bond Culture used in Bond Movies...
Mr. Anonymous, You say that This movie is a flop.. Well then what about the fact that it made whopping 55 Million US Dollars in first day of its release, and become one of the successful Bond Movies world wide.. Are those all people who watched movie and appreciated are Fools and You and your Step Brother Mr. Raja Sen are only the best critic...
Raja tumi outdated :) Every film is relevant to a generation (a'la Dark knight). This one has connected! You may not understand that...'cos you are a tad outdated now...read some of your reviews...you seem to criticise for the sake of. sorry huh.
Raj Sen might want to (though i am sure he wont as he might be paid already for his crap) want to reflect on how Ian Fleming puts James Bond across. He was not a charmer at the outset. Every actor who tried to grace the tuxedo give a different version of the super spy. Frankly I would prefer a lethal James Bond to a funny-guy. Craig was charming. It's either Raj doesn't know what charm is - or he doesn't want to!! He is a 'critic' after all.
man i don't know when this guy was born.He must be something around 70-80.I saw this movie yesterday.Man this movie is awesome.Great fight sequences.I loved it.Keep it up Daniel Craig.
Raja got it just right. How about some classic Bond punchlines, sexy wit, charm (however cynical) mixed in with all the brutal action. At this rate Bond will merge into any well-made routine Hollywood action movie. Also, one kept feeling that they took several leaves out of the Bourne book. Only, Bourne director Paul Greengrass is able to keep action, character, emotion, story arc in perfect balance all the time. Not so, here. The plot gets fuzzy & incomprehensible with the constant barrage of action set-pieces. BTW, there are 100s of reviewers/viewers who feel the same way as Raja. Excellent review. A longer one than usual, but a great read! "Liverpudlian lunacy", hehe! Strawberry Fields forever!

Jemima - do you listen to the dialogues? Did you say 'no punch-lines'? You might want to practice some listening skills!!!

i agreee...for once i agree wid raja sen..it surely lacks that trademark bond charm...dunno why ppl against him for this disasterous movie too...remember how every1 (including me) abused rediff reviews after SPIDERMAN-3 review when it came after a brilliant SPIDERMAN-2, but later when i saw the movie was indeed shit...i guess its just a way to vent out the modern day frustration....not much to talk abt the movie, but must say this review is brilliant..took me 3 reads to understand(as always), but its worth when compared to the mediocre stuff we see around...atleast we have one critic in india whos not tamed by big films n produtions n speaks wht he feels...n yeah, im not a bengali, just a proud indian and a die-hard bond fan..

I agree... Raja says it as it is... my review was the same: 2.5 stars Leftover emotional crap from Casino Royale, shockingly disappointing lack of gadgetry (don't get me started on iPhone-esque multi-touch tabletops - what junk! Minority Report se copy kiya hai...) 2 hot babes wasted (and I don't mean stoned, though they must've been to sign up for this muck) Opening credits were the only thing that lived up to expectations, boring sad song as usal..)
Overall... watch it only if you think time flies by too fast...this painfully slow movie will help...
