Passion to work
by Priya Jay on Jun 10, 2008 03:08 PM

All the best Kamal.

I am not a great fan of movies, but as an admirer of kamal's hardwork and the way of striving in a competitive field.

Shiv Kera's Quote: Successful men think differently.

To experiment and to research and then to work loving ur profession , passion in one's duty are superior qualities of a Man in profession.

These qualities are something one needs to learn to be a professional, beit in any field.

I am sure, Kamal Would have shone in any field for his non-tiring work an dhis passion to work.

Dasavatharam - Wrong Music director Selection
by Rajesh on May 24, 2008 10:35 AM  | Hide replies

Kamal usually wants to experiment new thing and his experiments never was successful in the recent days. I would suggest not experiment in this kind of big budget movies and concentrate purely in attracting the people.

I think everyone would abide with me that songs in Dasavatharam sucks except for one song. There itself Dasavatharam has lost its initial charm. If he wanted to select a music director from bollywood, there are so many good music director there and I wonder how they selected a flop music director and who always have habit of humming like wolf.

Also when there is legendary music directors in our own filed like Ilayaraj, AR Rahman, Harris Jayraj, Yuvan etc, there is no point in looking for diff music director.

Even then I hope Dasavatharam is a huge hit and waiting for its release.

Dear Rajesh,

Dr.Kamal's Experimentals in recent films are not failures. Mind your words. In Mumbai Express, HE got failure. Dasavatharam songs are good (Mukuntha, UlagaNayagane, Kallu ) They will get more familier after June 6, 2008.
Sivaji songs are got familier after the release of film not audio cassettes.

Regards.

Jayakumar

When i was reading reviews abt dasa, i found that some pple r writing abt Super star. This shows that they are jealous of him as he overtook kamal in industry. In early years it was kamal-rajni But after 1980 it became rajni-kamal. This is what making kamal fans horrible. but it is not in anyone hand. People attracted towards rajini more than kamal. Also, he is respected as a good man not only as an actor. He is the symbol of simplicity n open hearted. Many generation came after rajni, but still he is ruling the cinema. So, i can not stop ur stomach firing . But grow up dude... To all those people who talk trash about Rajni- - - better think before you talk...

Isnt Kamal bit overerated?
by siju george on May 22, 2008 01:06 PM  | Hide replies

Kamal is definitely the best "All rounder" in indian cinema...
His sensibility and knowledge as an artist is amazing........
But I feel he is overrated as an "actor"...
Considering his acting skills alone, I think he is definitely overrated....
But I feel he is no where near Mohanlal, Amitabh ,Nana ,Nazrudeen Shah ,Tilakan ,Mammooty etc considering acting alone.....

His acting alone is never overrated, he is a born actor, there is no one to equal his acts. Kamal is not overrated.

Siju,

You have a very valid point in admitting that Kamal is an all rounder. Yes, he is most consummate artist india has ever produced. I am also a big admirer of Mohanlal and Mammotty. Just because you belong to Kerala you feel Kamal is an overrated actor. Some of the roles especially action / dancing roles cannot be done by Lal & mammooty. You may say in Kamaladalam and few other movies, but they are only exceptions. IN the list mentioned by you, it is very strange to find Amitabh, it is sure an insult to a legend like Kamal. Culturally Malayalam films have realism as their backbone (now it is lost in majority movies), may be that's why you feel this way. Kamal if he had stayed in Malayalam industry (if the financial aspect had permitted him to), you need not have such an opinion.
