hey dude..Marathis have a big heart to welcome eveerybody in Maharashtra. Sont forget we are all Indians & not Maharashtrians, Bihari's, UP'ites, Keralite's etc.
Unfortunately, most of the excellent movies go unnoticed in India. One such example is 'Anbe Sivam'. What a movie with scintillating performance by Kamal, hard hitting storyline and underlying theme. Such films will have no place where dumb movies like 'Eklavya' get nominated for oscars and Saif getting national award. Ridiculous!!!.

What was so new in Anbe sivam! There are so mnay movies which come go which actually preaches the "Love all and dont be biased in your Love" theme!
There's nothing so great about Anbe Sivam. Dont overhype/overreact like kamalahasan

Anbe Sivam was a good movie with good performance by Kamal, but Madhavan and that horrid Kiran rathode were too wooden.

ANBE SIVAM was an OSCARABLE movie.
had this been made in spanish with CUBA as the backdrop it would have run away with an OSCAR.
we indians will contiue to suffer beacuse of our perochial politics-- this affects our output /recognition in all fields - films,muscic,sciense and list is endless. thanks my friend for mentioning ANBE SIVAM and i rate it as arguably KAMAL's best movie / role ever

You guys should see the acting power of Rajini in Chaalbaaz and Hum movie. Not to forget Aatank hi Aatank with Aamir Khan. Mind blowing Oscar performance.

kamal and rajini fans are fighting each others. but till now they are living as such a good friends.they never blame each other in movies as youth heroes are doing now.stop criticizing both.kamal is a excellent actor who learnt everything in film industry whereas rajini having a mesmerizing power of attracting people with his style.they cannot be compared.they both are good in their ways which they have chosen.so request you not to pass on unwanted comments on both

If Rajini wishes to do a good movie he can do. But he is not interested right now. When he decides he will do a good movie. that is Rajini power. Don't underestimate Rajini. Watch Rajini in Mannan and Valli. Both are classic movies.

watch some movies like 16 vayadiniley,moondru mudichi,ninaithaley inikum where rajni and kamal both acted. even though kamal was the hero in these movies it was rajni who stood on the top .. everybody rem'er parattai and his dialogue 'idhu eppadi iruku' more than sappani. u rem'er rajni better kamal in 'vasantha kala nadhigaliley' song in moondru mudichi everybody rem'er rajni's guitarist characer and his cigarette joke with poornam vishwanathan in ninaithaley inikum more than kamal's acting and dance

If a kamalahasan fanatic calls Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu a classic then Northiebybirth choice also can be called so!
No doubt Dr.Kamal Best in acting and for first time appears in different roles we mush not forget Sheevaji the great actor where as he have already did 9 roles in "Navarathri"

You and I can sit in our desk and use our fingers to type any crap.. but many of their movies have run well. so they must have got some talent.. on the other hand, even maniratnams and rajnis gave flops also.. so remebmer all these. ANd also many of us, especially northies just sees today's rajni and today's kamal and say how these guys are acting. In that sense, if as a first timer somebody seess Amitabh, sharukh or Amir, they will also ask the same questions.. They might find it funny that why a crow nosed sharukh with a poney tail is a hit hero? why a goat bearded Amitabh is respected well? so better to read the history of a legend before critisize.

Northies will never understand those kind of movies, Unless they see the flesh of both hero and heroine, they never consider that as a movie. I have seen a northie male, who sincerely loves sharukh and saif deeply.

what are you writing first you should understand . 1.This is not a question of understanding,peoples who really want to see good movies find it anywhere with subtitles. Art is not about boundries. you shoould respect good works no question of North or south. 2.Every Indian knows from where these c grade movies come and why southi ndian heroines are famous . 3.artists are not god and they dont have niether such qualities and solely on the face value we dont construct temples and those who do so,we consider them fools.

The title is misappropriate. Filmmakeres should not lift title from Hindu epic, if the film is not based on the epic. Dasavatharam in Hindu mythology has different meaning, and one should know to retain the respect of Hindu God. I do not understand why people take everything in light manner. Who knows what the actor or filmmaker is trying to tell us.
