you are right man ,excellent movie worth watching it . i didn't expect this type of my from subhash ghai so far his best work.this movie with good messsage should be made tax-free.terrific performance by anurag ,shefeliand anil(best).
One of the best movies i have ever seen. I wish though the ending was better handled. But to take nothing away from the director and cast ... 5 star rating and outstanind movie of the year. Much better than the much touted Taare Zameen Par. Real restrained gripping and refreshing. All the best adjecives for this fantastic venture. Oscar worthy anyday.
At present I am a 31Yr YOuth, and since my childhood I am admire subhash ghai a lot, whatever the reason I know a first film director name when I m in school that is subhash ghai now a days we come to know this film is directed by this director blaah blaah
About BLACK & WHITE Subhash Ghai A showman who directed a film like Hero,Ram Lakhan,Karma,Saudagar,Vidhata,Taal, Pardes, he make such a movie disgusting very very disappointing now this days the presentation of any film so beautifull and the ways subhash ghai presented B&W its like I am watching a film of 70's few days Before I seen SHOOT OUT AT LOKHANDWALA and yesterday I saw BLACK & WHITE, I feel SOAL is 100% better than B&W, in directionwise, editing wise, technics, camera angels wise,Perfomance wise, Subhash ghai sahab plz write a very strong script and u r screenplay than start u r direction I want to see the same charm which I seen at the time of SAUDAGAR. Best of luck for future films

hey kid r u nuts or wht!!! This film is awesome n is a HUGE cut above all d commercial cinema that Ghaisaab has made....u wanna c commercial...go watch RACE kiddo!!
Hindu-muslim sentments are always used to set the cash registers ringing. So it is here, Chhaya is an absoute pain and you wonder why she wasnt shot earlier in the film. Anil, a brilliant actor, has to mouth dialogues, about mera desh a million times. There is this shair 'old man' charcter, who goes about hindu-muslim bhaichara, blah blah blah blah..and then he gets an award for a couple of lyrics which are sung by some 'bal ki tokris', and then Numair suddenly gets a role of a camera man, he is wooed by a woman , who had no role.whatsoever...a couple of item songs would have been better induced, at least you get your moneys worth. Moral of the story, if you want to bomb a place, dont draw it. In short, boley toh, its a characterless movie which was made in haste.....lacks a script, fails miserable in every department, just plays the nationalist sentiment .....why is it called Black & White ? It may very well have been called Larsen & Toubro or Lawrence & Mayo or Dolce & Gabbana...Time & Money waste....I paid 200 for a ticket (not Black ) in White :-) at INOX...buggers charge a lot for a crap movie.... Giev it a miss...

You areso right. I got the DVD last night. I got so bored. The Soma character was annoying. I stopped watching.
Movie is an absolute bore, went to watch with high expectations after reading these so called reviews by the so-called film experts. There were several gaps, marred by poor editing, bad out-of-sequence scenes, out of context, cliched dialogues. Looks like the director 'thought' about the scenes first and then decided to weave it together. You end up asking what was tge purpose of that scene there, and what was the main protaganist doing over there, shouldnt he be planning the attack, basically you go brain dead in 10 mins.... Take for e.g Numair Qazi's scene where he is drawing the red fort, why didnt he take some snaps instead, why did he draw the same frame again and again, and why alone, what kind of a dud terrorist is he ? Why did Anil have to do the last rites in total secrecy, how did he manage to attend the red-fort celebs, why did numair have to go into the VIP area only ? What is this liquid bomb ? How does Anil turn up at the right moment facing the barrel of a sniper , and there were hunderds there ? Numair all of a sudden starts to shoot and bash milind gunaji...whoa....editing, script, where for art thou...Ghai was in haste? And last but not the least what is it with S Ghai that every film has a mute character, it started with Karz, then there was one in Hero, then one in Karma, and now in this movie...some mute message ? Hindu-muslim sentments are always used to set the cash registers ringing. So it is here, Chhaya is an absoute pain and you wonder why she w
the film is very much similar to Mission Kashmir.....
we all get very emotional when there r petriotic, mom-son kind of movie get releases, if someone critizes then we all call that person hertless n stuff but what I really felt after watching this film is 1. direction was really not that great as one expects from Ghai.... 2. its same as Mission kashmir, lil bit of Dil se....characters r lil diff 3. heavy and powerful dialogues but repeated types, wording r diff 4.cmon enough of this hindu-muslim....we all r united, we dont need these kind of movies anymore....

thats right, It is an excellent movie and not at all related to mission kashmir. If some one says Anil is a poor actor then it means that person does not have brain. It is not a msala movie. Every indian must watch this movie. Its Suparb.
