DAN brown or DVC are more Anti-Church establishments than Anti-Christ. Christ is facing collateral damages. He always took the blame, quietly, during his lifetime and 2000 years hence. None of us can stand fingers pointing at us, i believe the discussion below is just a simple example. We are blaming and counter blaming. And this goes against one of the most important teaching of Christ. Be patient, be calm, forgive and love one another. Try it...it takes superhuman effort to be Christ.

What do you mean by Dan Brown is not original? Have you read the book? Its a fiction novel. He never claimed that he did all the research himself. And it is not the first time in history that many authors write books on same topics. It just so happened that Dan Brown became famous while others didn't make it.
With movies and books that are so blatantly anti Christian such as DVC and host of many more that have been written and produced in America or Europe I hope you can see that the West is not all pro Christian. What's more important about such books/movies is that the Bible has allowed itself to be tested like no other Book in the World. Try and do that to any other religious book and see the reaction you get! Here a movie that is totally blasphemous to the Christian doctrine is made and we don't see any violent reactions of death threats to the Author, Actors or producers, no theatre bombings or embassy burnings etc etc even remotely being suggested even in Christian dominated countries. Says two things: The Bible is a realiable book, just on its character of being tenancious and That Christianity is truly tolerant.

Its okay if you stand by Dan Brown, but please note : Dan Brown has no credentials of being an Historian. He is just a good novelist. Secondly he prefaces this Book by mentioning that the work is fictional. The parallel could be like the movie "Titanic". Did the event happen? Yes, but the Characters Jack and Rose in the movie were simply fictional. Dan Brown's book makes a good read simply because the plot is really page turning. But he simply distorts the truth to create a controversy and spice things up, resulting in the high sales of the books. You see this gimick employed by many celebreties! But what is at stake is if Christianity is NOT true than it of NO significance, however if Christianity is true, it is of infinite importance. Please google the word "Christian Apologetic" and you will have this issue on DVC laid to rest in a very professional manner, unlike the treatment Dan Brown gives on this topic.

Christianity is truly tolerant? No. Westerners - Americans and Europeans are truly Tolerant. that is the truth. church attendance is nothing much to talk about except few hardcore ones. as for issuing death threats, bombing - that space is exclusive domain of islam. that no one can stake claim to it.
U said bible is the most tested book. well, when people see something to be tested, there is a reason for it. always the the persons who tested bible were proved CORRECT. Just make a note of that one. But what u forgot to mention is Christianity benefited by those things. Otherwise there wud not hav been much difference between christianity and islam. why christians fail to see this truth?

The answer is NOT .....because if you do then you will realise that all religions say the same thing...any drawback which a person sees ,is his/her own one and does not belong to any religions...

1) When "Christians" practice violence they are completely going against the teachings of Jesus that says: Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you 2) Yes the Crusades did happen and it happen in the Medival period when the Bible was not widely available to people, that's why you do not see such things happening now. 3) About the Mitras stuff may be you ought to see the movie Zeitgeist Refuted on Google video, that vivdly demonstrates the inaccuracy of such claims. 4) Galelio and the Salem Witch Hunt, Burning at the stake..... Yes did happen, that's the similar reason I cited above, which lead to the Reformation in the 15th Century, which pointed Christians to rely on the Authority of the Bible rather on the Clergy. And true Bible beliving Christians do not pray to or worship statues.

In Angels n Demons just as in DVC,Robert Langdon roots for the fact that misdeeds of few people related to the church shouldnot hamper common beliefs or rather the hope that some supernatural power might be looking after them and lending a hand when in dire state..
Now it is no myth that the church in the past did exploit their power in the name of God..instead of making a public apology,they still believe that by banning a movie,they will redeem themselves!!!! Today Roman church stands as a tourist spot..50 yrs from now it will be historic!!!

true. church still has not learnt anything. they are still trying to act as thoough it were medival times.
The crimes committed by the Vatican are now coming into fore. The tyrants who called themselves pope had been responsible for killing of millions of people between 12th and 16th century. These guys want just power. Earlier they used to achieve it using swords and guns and these days using bribes and favors.
