Newcomer Rajeev khandelwal, comes up with an excellent and heart rendering performance as the main protagonist " AAMIR", as a doctor , who is forced by religious fanatics " mujahideens" , to carry out a bomb explosion, in mumbai. The desperation, and frustration, that "aamir", experiences, as he runs through the small bylanes of mumbai, has been portrayed to the T , by mr. khandelwal. The characterisations are perfect, and a lot of thought seems to have been put into it, as they all seem so beleivable, be it the prostitute who supposedly " helps" him, or the butcher who gutts and chops the mutton peices , they all seem to be real.
i wonder how wud u react after watching anjatey (Tamil movie). It is one of the best movie of 2008 in Ind. It reflects a story of true frnd, police behaviour, serial kidnapping & rape. Its a movie where the villain kidnaps gals for money & then rapes them.. The best part of movie is that there is no single scene which shows a rape or violence though its a theme is abt violence. Such movies can be thought only by a mallu or tamil directors.... long way to go for bollywood to produce such movie. one of the best movie that i watched of late in bollywood was Beja Fry & all other movies like TZP, chak de were only a okay sort of movie

as far as raskela is concerned faraha khan's humour is just like the movie OSO big crap & the comedy sounds like tragedy. if u ppl accept farah khan for her humour that itself shows the qlty of her movie.

I fail to understand why you tambi guys keep following bollywood reports & reviews when you believe that it is only the fat, painted, bloated and yet dancing intellectuals down south ho can make brilliant movies. Why dont you keep to you higher intellectual ground? Please, for God's sake do not try to confine brilliance and intelligence to a particular community.

it required priyadarashn fm down south to bring out the potential of akshay kumar, paresh rawal in comedy roles... what were u noth directors doing with these actors. only feturing him in khildai title roles.. bottom line is only south ind directors can revive bollywood industry fm here on

Why do not Priyadarshan does something to revive the sagging careers of Kamal Haasan etc. I do not remember other guys names. Atleast you know a couple of names. This means bollywood heroes are still doing fine. Anyways, tell me why tambi actors & actresses do not do away with their collosal bellies, stop painting their faces to appear 'fair & lovely' and dancing in dirty way as they do. Are these mallu & tamil directors are doing something about it. With all their 'low on intellect' directors, bollywood is still doing much better than all the 'woods' of south put together. Anyways, alleast this is what recent sendings to Oscars prove. What say, Tambi?

South accepts even slightly aged heroes(not flat and bloated cos there os no hero who is like that except balkrishna whose movies no one watches ) cos they have acting ability. it indicates the maturity of south audiences which sees acting abilities and screen presence but not child like gimmicks and histrionics of heroes in bollywood whom north indians seem to lap it up with child like interest.
Even filmfare indicated that bombay and south audiences embrace meaning full cinema. The very few meaningful and quality movies made in bollywood were bigger hits in the south than in the north. And in places like UP and bihar only that joker govindas movie seem to have worked

i have not watched anjatey and while it can be a good movie i would not agree that only mallu or tamil directors can make such movies.
I think if you look at critical movie making then it has to lead you to bengal. Mallus and tamils came much much later.

once i thought 2 watch some south indian movies.i started with watching abhay,& i can say dat it was such a bullshit dat i haven't since years.AND YOU TALK ABOUT THE SOUTH INDUSTRY,it has just those ppl who have been kicked away frm bollywood bcoz they r not worth 2 act in bollywood.rajni and kamal have worked in bollywood but even a debutant in bollywood could have acted better than them in those movies.AND YES THEN I HAPPENED 2 WATCH KAMAL'S "MUMBAI EXPRESS" & RAJNI'S much hyped movie "SHIVAJI" and i swear i had a headache dat lasted 4 more than 2 weeks.i don't knw how u south indian ppl watch those big fat **s & old age raskalas mamooty, mohanlal, kamal, ajith, rajni, chiranjeevi etc..acting as hero in a movie & don't have ne role 2 play except doing sum nonsense style.ur movies r meaningless &have nothin 2 offer 2 ppl.actually u knw dat no one likes 2 watch ur movies & that is why u put some false comments against our movies and start comparing them with the movies made down south in some hindi movie review section. now u plz go & watch gals being raped in a movie and let us watch movies like "chak de india" that revive our national feelings...
the reviewer seems to be completely biased against RGV & the Bacchan clan, or is he suffering from some complex. Movie stinks, no plot just a sick & sloppy rehash of johnny depp's nick of time. go see the original to understan the art of movie making

And you,Asish, seem to be obsessed with the Bchchan clan.Just accept the fact that the Bchchan baby is a pain on Amitabh's shoulder. However hard Amitabh tries to make him a star,he does not seem to be succeeding. I have seen both-and Sarkar Raj is a piece of crap compared to Aamir.

Sarkar raaj is full bakwas....Aamir is not a copy of Nick of time...some similarities are accepted..better to watch films like aamir than Cliche RGV n cliche overfyped Bachchans barking at the audience

we know what kind of matterials can deliver to us by RGV & Bachchan clan......eg:RGV ki AAG, Nishabd, James, SHIVA[new], Naach, Gayab, Mr. ya Miss., Darna Mana Hai, Darna Jaroori Hai, Darling, DARWAZA BANDH RAKHO,GO,Shock,Vastu Shastra ......blah blah blah ........
Aamir! Wht a movie. It can happen with any1 of us. Ram gopal Varma is now tied. Making film with huge actors doesnt mean that u hav won the battle. Stop wasting your time at IFFA. Go n watch Aamir!!
Please everyone say something about "aamir" in the SarkarRaj review page also so that they stop fooling around with a cliche film like Sarkar and appreciate good work in form of Aamir

I agree to you man...aamir is a great film...I am posting my views here regarding Aamir from yesterday night only so that people can go to see the film...This kind of small budget different genre of films should be lapped up by audience for the betterment of quality cinema in india...AS expected from Raj Kumar gupta(Director of Aaamir),whose mentor is none other than pioneer of hatke stories Anurag kashyap, has wriiten a superb screenplay.Rajeev Khandelwal is an actor to look for.(Talking of standing ovation I do remember to be a part of it for 2 films Rang De Basanti and Taare Zameen Par)

i totally agree with u imran.v should not forget the in cannes , when the movie is shown , wot every director yearns for , wot they pray for is a standing ovation by the end of the movie.so if v dont have this culture , y dont people like us pioneer in starting this awesome form of appreciation in cinemas , as a token of our appreciation?
