Raja I guess you missed drawing the line. What you said about Farhan as a singer makes sense but putting down everything was a bit too much. You missed one thing this is not a rock album but movie tracks. But the girls did a fab job. Both Caralisa Monteiro and Dominique Cerejo were brilliant. Things need not be complicated to be good. It should just touch your heart. Only then it can rock us.Cheers :)
For a movie as well made as this, the music is a HUGE disappointment. This is not 'rock' that any genuine fan of the genre will recognize. It is a desperate attempt at Bollywood-ising 'rock' music. One could say that the composers took the worst of the big-hair band era and put together an absolutely unimaginative, repetitive, and plain boring set of songs. School-boy lyrics, unnecessary and totally unimaginative guitar solos, jarring repetitive rythms and just an utter lack of melody. Distortion guitar does not a rock song make. Inane noise, designed to appeal to those whose idea of rock music is a combination of a distorted guitar and a drum machine.

what I can understand from above passage is someone named "Raja Sen" wasted important moments of his life.Mr Raja, you would have taken ur wife out for dinner instead of criticising such a unique and extra ordinary movie. at least u would have done sometthing good. you would have played with kids, help needy people. what on earth has made you to criticise such a beautyful creation. u must be some one fake opposite to Farhan Akhtar, my guess is you are some bollywood guy/gal jealous of Farhan.you should have thought at least thousand times before writing this shit. you would have got mess in your bedroom and cupboard clean instead of saying so.why the hell you misused public mass communication medium to have 200% false impact of good thing in others mind. do you know 'M' in music? have u ever hold guitar in your hand. have u ever sung "Sa - the ultimate shadja" in proper tone. u really sound like dead piano guitar with strings of hairs of polar bear.(sorry dead piano and polar bear and its guitar for your insult) in short YOU SUCK.

Ok, I am not a Rock Guru and I go by whatever pleases to my untrained ear. I will give a thumbs up to farhan for trying something different, but you have to accept he is not a great singer. What the composer has done is used his voice well but the obvious chinks are still visible. and more when caralisa sings the last song-phir dekhiye. Just like I loved Atif in pehli nazar but when I heard some reality show singer sing it better I felt he had some more distance to go. Not that I dont like Atif, but he sounds good because he sounds different. Same with Farhan ( Though Atif is a much better singer than Farhan) I would still give credit to the team for trying such a project. And PLZ don compare the movie with DCH, DCH was much much better
Dear Mr. Sen, I am amazed at the talent you have to write off things so brutally even though they are actually brilliant and path breaking. I just happened to come across this link and thought " well ok i know it will get abt 4 on 5 but lets see which songs have been rated the best", but i click on the link and i see Rock Yawn and i am taken aback. But when i read the whole review i realize that you dont know Jack Shit about what you are doing, Thats why when i finished i went WOW in amazement of how someone like you is allowed to write.

I swear I don't know why he keeps writing reviews and why Rediff keeps him on his payroll. Maybe he pays something to rediff to let him write. I think, as Simon Cowell would have said, he should stick to editing high school newspapers.

I print out Raja Sens previews and use those papers to wipe my...err...floor, corners, whatever dirty that needs to be cleaned
rock on songs are rivetting, they rock you. listening to them in INOX was stupendous, Mr raja i dont agree with the pittance rating you gave.the amar akbar anthony of music industry have given a rocking performance
How is that you rate Jhonny Gaddaar (by the same composer S-E-L) as 4.5 and this one as 1.5 ?? Making up for the over-rating last time ?? this album deserves atleast a 3.5 for giving the composers a credit for exploring something that has never been explored before in Bollywood.. Please come to your senses ASAP.
