Pipe dream! The Tamil film industry that can not decently remake a simple malayalam film like 'Katha parayumbol' can never come up with anything sensible at all. There is a saying in Tamil- 'How can a person who can not climb the roof to catch a fowl ever be expected to slash the sky and reveal the heavens?

Tamil films are the best films made in India. Have you ever seen films like "Dasavatharam" im Malayalam. Don't even compare Mallus with Tamils.

Malayalam cannot afford tht much money to make a movie like dasavatharam.
It can sure make stories like in dasavatharam where characters and their stories ar connected to each other b.c of cirucumstances or issues in the society. Hence, malayalam films have made movies i.e tht in diffrnt genres.
Recently adoor gopalakrishnan made movies on four characters and their lives and the curse of being a women in this world is highlighted in this movie.
As far as technical brilliance shown in dasa required alot of money and also kamal's showcase of his 10 charactrs also require alot of money.
So its true one can't compare both cinema's, as to each its own.
On the othr hand, its only few filmakers in tamil cinema who has shown maturity and not fall into the "pleasing the masses" trap.

Deepa, no amount of technical finesse can compensate for the story. The simplicity, honesty, variey and novelty of subjects that Malayalm industry offers is simply unmatched. Even their flop films are much better than the Tamil blockbusters. Tamils can not even remake properly from Malayalam originals; because their tastes are different and so are their needs! Tamil movies-whether it is those pretentious, hyped films of Kamalhasan or the Rajini films for the low-end audience, they need to be deliberately loud and lewd

may be ur saying is correct to some extend. Tamil movies are 60% commerical and 40% artistic Mallu movie 40%commercial and 60 % artistic.
See, everyone has different opinions and just because of that don't underestimate tamilmovies. There are so many talented film makers coming out and for sure you have to change your views in the near future which has already began... Say for example, Paruthiveeran, Mozhi, Chennai-600 028 are true and not a copy of anyfilms. Time has come make sure u will see a lot in coming months. Movies to watch for Subramaniapuram, Poi Solla porum, netru indru naalai, moscowin kaveri.....etc.,
I am curious to see if the producers will take the same liberties in portraying the Christian religious icons as they have been doing in the case of Hindu deities. Financed by the Govt of Canada and Vatican! Great it will help the church in a 'rich harvest of faith' that the Pope is so fond of. Tamil Nadu Govt. will also be more than happy to finance as long as the filmmakers give an undertaking to denigrate Hindu gods. good going indeed!

I don't think tht this movie will be good if its made on the lines of supporting certain organizations i.e madras archidose or govt. officials i.e canada govt. or vatican.
It can be producd by a foreign production houses i.e the ones tht producd those hollywood movies made on religions.
This movie will not depict this subject accurtly since its seems like a way to earn money for these particulr organizations.
if tirupathi devasthanam fund a film on vishnu, will kamal and rajini come together. will kalaignar launch the function. kamal knows vishnu's 10 avathars.

It seems that this film will b a super hit with the south superstars and international financing and hope to c this movie...but would like to know if the Hindi version will b also available for watching..

Wht abt the countless serials on hinduism and also a animated series, thy ar also tryin yo show hinduism as good religion.
Also, movies abt islam ar alwys made in a bad manner b.c of the fundamentals and the violence. Tht is showin how muslims ar bad people in the word.
