This discusion in the assembly goes to show that these people have nothing useful to do. A leading newspaper recently listed the police stations based on their corruption levels. Where is the response to this news. People spit and urinate on main roads and nothing is done to stop this but they want to bring in dress code. They pick on cine stars because it brings them attention. There are movies in which stars convey good messages even to the politicians and we don't find any improvement in them but the they are in a hurry to pick on stars for smoking, drinking etc.. Believe me if India has progressed its 'in spite of' these politians and not because of them.

Actress should be blamed

Nowadays these actress thinks that they can wear watever they want. no one cares if they wear those short clothes inside their room or some film functions. Everyone in this community have some moral value atleast for the sake of society or the institution they are working for. So if you go to meet a a political leader you should wear clothes accordingly.

this type of actresses do nothing to society but they always create some sensation. Tell them to show their freedom for some other goog things. How any days you reiterate your freedom for silly clothes.

watever it comes to public, or constitution you should have to follow the standards. actress is not exceptions.

I agree with gowri...You are a hypocrite.Throwing garbage on the road, spitting or defecating, falsifying pollution tests are proven to have a negative societal impact 100 times over this so called "women too liberal" issue. Let Mr Murugan from Pattali Makkal Katchi resolve priority issues first & then worry abt this. Nonsense!

Well, we are a democratic country. What one wants to wear or doesn't want to wear must be the individual's choice. Who are these so called moral police. All they need is a good kick at the posterior to even suggest that Shriya's pictures are obscene. If they are obscene will it not be better for the moral police to not see them than decide what the general public should see.

I think Tamil Nadu does not have faith in its men. That they want to ban such actresses. The government of Tamil Nadu must concentrate on areas like unemployment, and CORRUPTION.I think the members have no better things to do in life than to attack poor actresses. According to me the state should have stringent LAWS against pervert men rather than trying to curb the freedom of women.I pity the women in Tamil nadu who do not speak up to such nonsensical issues. The immature and illbehaved members of the parliment should not forget than we are a democratic country and if people do not speak up to such issues then the state of women in this country will go back to square one.

as someone frm TN, i feel the tamil nadu political parties are useless. they argue on how to make NOISE BY belittling FILM personalities. English titles, drinking, smoking, then dressing...why dont they look at solving the otehr burinign sisues...like cauvery etc. rather than such crap? ...it ws pathertic to watch the CM's daughter KANIMOZHI waxing eloquent in ENGLISH when , following the party 'd ANTI ENGISH STAND she shd have spoken in TAMIL only...bah!
