Yes he is one of the greatest actor in India. Doesn't mean the others are becoming the superstars by out of the way. Yes he may his own views. But the actors like mammootty and mohanlal will do like this...Even we are sitting at Delhi we are not agree with him. He is becoming aged. We should also repect his age
I know him since the days he was with PJ Theatres. His troupe come to rehearse the drama in YMCA Camp Site. I was also working with YMCA during that time. He used to tell me about his role in Yavanika. No doubt, he is a very good actor and he can do any roles of his age. I wish him all the best and may God give him good health to continue his acting.

he has reported his admiration for other's talent in the interview...read the same clearly
It is very sad to learn from an actor of the calibre of Mr.Thilakan that politics is rampant in Malayalam Cinema. New talents should be encouraged and old talents should be reverred and given due respect. As Mr.thilakan said Actor Prithviraj has the potential to become a great actor. WE need to encourage talents like this and also give due respect to thespians like Mr.Thilakan
I am not going into the controversy. Nither do I attempt comparisons with the super stars. But it is a great injustice not to have honoured him with the national award. He is a fantastic actor. An actor who would win thw national award hands down if the award were to be given only on merit. If what is said about the background of his being denied the award in 1990 is correct, it neither does credit to the National Award itself nor to the great AB.Another great actor who has skipped the attention of the National jury is Nedumudy Venu
Shri.Thilakan is a versatile and brilliant actor Malayalam movie industry should be proud of having such a wonderful actor. The only one who can come somewhere near him in acting is Mohanlal.

No doubt that he is one of the greatest actor of Indian cinema. But he used to make this kind of controversies before also. He even made a statement that his son Shammi Thilakan is more talented than Mohanlal & Mammootty!!
thilakan is a versatile actor.malyalam filmdom is full of politics and backbiting.the stars from kerala find tamil nadu a better greener pasture for progess i think prithviraj will vouch for his growth to the tamil industry which has utilised him well.i feel bad for thilakan he is a great character actor and can be compared to the character performances of sivaji ganesan/naseeruddin shah.wish him all well.he needs no introduction to the literate audience.we wish you all the very best mr.thilakan please take care of your health too.
Thilakan is undisputedly one of the versatile actors in Malayalam cinema. May be he is not getting challenging roles due to many reasons, that's why he is feeling insecure. Why should the superstars cut his roles, when they themselves are busy with their pictures. May be Thilakan is simply disappointed with the roles he is getting, hence this hue and cry.
