Must be the best-written piece I've read on this unfortunate event. Kudos. RIP Heath.

Im in complete shock....
by on Jan 23, 2008 08:14 PM

I first saw heath in the patriot, I think I was in 7th grade. I thought well now heres somone I can look up to. Then just recently about a month and a half ago i had the pleasuer of seeing Lords of Dogtown, and coming from me a girl who knows nothing about skateboarding, and that movement in the 70's, shot straight to my favorite movies, and as a asipring actress, I look up to him as a part of young hollywood that had so much talent and soo much more to give. I am absolutely heart broken that this talent would be taken away from us so fast it was too soon, just to soon...I hope when his daughter grows up, she knows how beautiful and talented her dad was and how many people loved him, a kind gentle soul, who shared his gift with the world, it's a sad day for millions and I have to stop typing because because I dont want to start crying ....but umm yea great talent we were all thankfull. Thanks heath for what you did accomplish in ypur short time on this earth....thankyou

Devistation.

I for one was shocked by this horrific news. Such a tradgedy for such a young and talented/successful actor. He was one of mine and many others favorite people to see on the big screen.

This is sad news.
by on Jan 23, 2008 07:28 PM

I to thought it was a typo or something to do with a movie. It is a sad situation. With him taking medicine he could of accidently overdose or he could of been the one who took his own life. When telling my husband it shocked him also. From the outside it looked as tho he had everything, but because you have fame & you have money does not mean your life is perfect. I am 2 years older then him & this is sad. It leaves the family forever asking why. His little girl is fatherless now & that is a tragedy in itself. I wish that Hollywood looks @ a way to help people, especially young ones in the lime light. He was an astonishing actor that could capture your attention. Rest In Heaven Heath.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but...
by on Jan 23, 2008 06:53 PM

Something smells bad about this. There is the issues with the prescribed drugs he was taking; some nasty side effects there. Then theres the depression he was suffering from following his split with his fiancee and daughter.

Whatever happened, I am pretty sure they will tell Joe Public what they want us to know and what is actually the case.

I don't understand why people think it's so sad when it is a celebrity but when it's a normall person people think they're idiots for taking there life.I think that it's horrible he has a daughter she won't remember him and will never and her mother won't be able to hide it from her as he is a movie star anhd what a waste of life he was just 28 but I guess it was his time to leave this earth.

by on Jan 23, 2008 06:36 PM

So sad to hear about the death of one of the worlds most talented actors, Heath Ledger. He was such an amazing character and performed so well in all of his films that were made. My heart goes out to Heaths family and his precious little girl 'Matilda'. Always in our thoughts Heath, You will be sadly missed. Love from Kerri and Lisa xxxxxxxxxx (Grimsby).

jesus christ hold off on the suppositions passed off as fact until you HAVE the facts (Seth Bhagwandas & ASHWINI KHADILKAR in particular). No one knows any concrete details pertaining to the death as yet. Might I suggest keeping your mouth closed unless you have anything worth reading through?

Hey,

Hendrix, Morrisson, Joplin and Cobain all passed away at the age of 27. I reckon its a bit of typo on your part.

Wonderful article to read I must mention that too.

may his soul rest in peace. 28 is no age to die.
I cannot get over the fact that celebrities who seemingly have everything throw it away where as
people like us are happy to have so little to get by in life. money drugs alcohol is a bad spiral to go down

very well said Ashwini. It could also be due to the pressure and stress of expectations that one has to live upto as a celebrity/known actor.

look every one has problems.
money and fame don' heal matters of the heart,
no matter what kind of material possesions
you have you can still have problems.
you don't know what he was going through
or what truely happened.
so I suggest you put yourself in his shoes
before you make your assumptions.
