I had seen that North Indians just because of their sheer number just wants dominate the entire country (be it politics, movies or other fields) and rule over others.
So since they are more in number their movies however substandard it might be gets selected for Oscars (the real oscar jury will be laughing while watching serious Hindi films).
They cannot think or look beyond the hindi heart land where the real creativity blossom. Remember the Movie %u2013DOR (copied from Perumazhakkalam (mal)) %u2013 which all North Indians heralded it as a classic %u2013 but could not accept or the believe if the copied version was this good, then how the original would be?
Here is where the hypocrisy lies, North Indians needs a national award for DOR but not the original which is many times better than it own copied version

Not only movies..now a days they also influence other national wards which were once beyobnd their imagination..example is Play back singing..most of the award used to go to south until 90's to great singers like KJY,SPB,K Chitra etc..Now If you analyse last decade hostory it goes to North..They also managed to make actor,best film award their way..Example is "Anil kappor" in pUkar..It is a commercial movie and there is not even a scope for film fare award..

That too the every year only Amitabh bachan and his family members gets that IIFA award. the award shuld be changed to IIHAFA(International Indian hindi amitabh family award).
