what is this rubbish being generated in the name of movie??
Lets have some realism and stop this bs stories which are kept on rotated every few months and all those silly sound effects..Will we ever ablt o regain the glorious tradition of quality cinema or churn nonsensical movies and end up like Telugu and Kanada Film Industry?

Bheema a blistering bore
by Sharmila Valli Narayanan on Feb 04, 2008 10:22 AM

A friend of mine who saw the movie in a theater in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia said that at the end of the movie the audience clapped their hands..something he had never seen for any other movie before (maybe for Rajini). When I finally saw the movie 2 days ago, I realised why the audience clapped...it was to show their relief at seeing the movie come to an end. I am not a Vikram fan but I do acknowledge that he is a very good actor. Sethu, Pithamagan, Kasi and Anniyan all testify to this. But it makes me wonder what on earth possessed him to make this film. Instead of wasting two years waiting for this film to be completed, he should have just made other films. Hopefully he will be redeem himself in his next film Kandaswamy.

Know about the writer before writing reviews
by ramanthan krishnamoorthy on Jan 26, 2008 08:35 PM

>>Hard to believe that dialogues have been >>penned by veteran writer Sujatha -- so many >>'potturu' and 'thookidu' (kill/murder) words >>litter the conversations that you begin to >>yawn. It becomes worse when the Commissioner >>too, employs the same language.

I think the reviewer has missed the title card. Atleast before writing the review they should know who is the music director, camera man, writer, etc. Actually the dialogue writer for this film is S.RAMAKRISHNAN and not SUJATHA as mentioned by the reviewer!

AVERAGE GROSSER
by on Jan 25, 2008 03:31 PM

I understand many where unhappy with the film.Yes the movie had expectations, but honestly it didn't live upto the expectations.I belong here because iam a hard core fan of 'Chiyaan'. I was crazy on seeing kenny in screen after a hiatus 2 years. Whistles / Color Papers blown on first show at Sathyam by myself and friends. But as the movie progressed, the only thing made me to watch the movie is PrakashRaj and Vikram.I can see both were trying to shoulder a lifeless movie.Songs / Photography / Editing / Action couldn't save the movie because it lacked plot / script. Had lingusamy added twists and sharp dialogues the would have been a hit.

Guys u got to agree the Action of the movie. I have never seen such Action sequence in an indian movie.WOW.Great.

The Goondas don't fly here and there or hit the electric post causing power cuts. Vikram stands and breaks the bones.Got to pat Kanal Kannan. If u r pure action movie goer don't miss this.

Still distributors have gained MG and its average grosser.

Chiyaan better luck next time. Hard Work always pays.

VIKRAM IS THE LOVED ONE!
by daniel craig on Jan 22, 2008 01:54 AM  | Hide replies

Vikram, one of the rare actors, who could hold the movie with his performance, has won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his outstanding performance in Pithamagan in 2003. He has also won the 52nd Filmfare South Award for Best Actor for his good performance in Anniyan, 2005.

These awards are just a few indications of the heights Vikram, the outstanding actor is about to reach.

Very few actors would have maintained their charm even if they do not have any releases for a couple of years. Vikram has proved that he is one such actor. Bheemaa came after 26 months of his previous release (Majaa in 2005 November). When Bheemaa was delayed due to financial troubles, Vikram showed his commitment and loyalty towards the project he had taken up. He had actually owned up the project and hence decided to fore go many offers that could have fetched him more fame and crores of money.

It is the commitment and rare talent that make Vikram stand out. When such an actor throws his weight behind a project like Bheemaa, there will be little doubt about the success of the venture. The results pouring from various centers prove this point beyond doubt.

The confidence of %u2018Bheemaa%u2019 team is vindicated. The movie, which hits the screen after a lot of troubles and struggles, has been received by the audiences with overwhelming response. The seats for the first few days have been booked within a few hours of the opening of the reservations, inform the theatre sources.

Even (Late) MGR has also got his award for 'RIKSHAKARAN'. But the legend (world knows) and thespian SIVAJI has never got award. As far as the opinion of the world till and after his death the legend SIVAJI alone is remembered for acting and none other. So awards are not the indicators of performance. But, Vikram stands out of the box office. If he is talented, why it took so long (1999 - Almost after 10 years) to get his name atleast an actor. So he is not talented, but just improved his performance to certain extent. Not upto the great level as you said.

come on man, getting into industry does need luck and talent.Kenny had talent, but the damn luck has not smiled on him.U know how much years it took to bring out Sethu. There are very few rare actors who have come up on their own. (Rajini,Kamal,Ajit).Vikram belongs to that cadre. Vikram is one of very few rare actor who follows method acting after Kamal.Watch him in the forth coming years.

2 years for this crap
by redeemer on Jan 21, 2008 04:36 PM

I am deeply disappointed as many others who wished to see a Vikram's movie...

But .,
Lingusamy---- Sangu samy
Harris jeyaraj... worser Re-recording worst already delivered in Ghajini..(y the producers hire this crap for any movie) he is repeatedly sulking in BGM to all directors expect for gautham.Sankar is still whinning for his
(HJ)performance in Anniyan...

Vikram---- the only soulmaker...
he is been betrayed by sangusamy..

i wonder how a director could dissapoint by having all genious in his sleeve
like
Vikram
raghuvaran
prakash raj
ashish

oh god atlast law of averages staerted to work for Vikram thru Sangusamy
