Shriya has right to show everything
by Iyer on Jan 15, 2008 01:44 AM

Shriya has right to show everything. It is her freedom. If you like, see her parts and enjoy. If you do not like, close your eyes.

It is about individual freedom and individual responsibility.

This actress has a right to wear whatever she wants. That is her individual freedom and no one can deprive her of that. Some of us may not agree with that. There are ways to protest our opinion. Stop watching her films, write to her, stop supporting the products that she promotes, etc.

But to force her or to threaten her is harrassment and a crime.

Some are suggesting a "Dress Code". This is the level of insanity on this forum. Every adult has a right to wear whatever he/she pleases. I am a Muslim. My wife chooses to wear a headscarf. These are matters of personal freedom. We should not legislate these issues of force people.

Same applies to opinions of writers or artwork of painters.

I am a Muslim. I do not agree with what Taslima write, but I respect her right to express her opinion. Same thing with MF Hussein. I believe his painting of the goddess was in bad taste. But I respect his right to do that. Same think with the cartoons of the Prophet (PBUH). I was offended. But that does not mean that the Danish should be deprived of his right.

We have become so intolerant. Its my way of the highway. No wonder we have so many fights and arguments in our communities over trivial matters.

Lets realize something.
We do not have to agree with an individual or his work in order to respect HIS/HER right to free speech.

No you dont have right to hit her because its her body you can hit yourself on the road. Dakshin what Indian culture are you claiming to abide by? We Indians had entire texts written descriptively on sex and art of love-making even before the white man had a script or language of his own. These texts describe in the fullest detail numerous postures of love-making in fore-play, play and post-play stages. If we truly care of Indian culture we should shed parochialism, make our bedroom lives better(will reduce cardio and diabetic diseases), sex educate youngsters(rather than let them think that is something chi chi), use protection for birth control and disease control. The last thing we wan't is a false garb of morality and caste-driven religosity based on an assumed identity. We are the proud authors of Kamasutra and are entitled to enjoy all its manifestations let it be Shriya's cleavage or whosesoever's.

Iyer,
You are free to do anything as long as it does not affects someone else's freedom.

If you and this lady want to have a consensual relationship, I do not think anyone else should object to that. But when you talk about rape, then you are hurting an individual and that constitutes a CRIME.

I hope you are educated enough to see the difference.

Imran, you are too educated and broad minded to be writing in this portal. The problem is, you can only wake up guys who are sleeping. But most bloggers here are hardliners who eat shit at home but complain that the hotel plates are dirty. But as I keep telling, let's keep doing what do best - stand up for righteousness. Kudos, bro.

Hello analyst it was not a religious function silver jubilee of a successful film. and what u expect the heroione to wear a religious garb to attend it. Ur bussiness will surely run on losses if u analyse things in this way.

Man bikini is used when in pool or near beach.People wont wear it for religious parties.

Most of NRI women wear saree in India in front of foolish people like you and bikini in pools out side.If your wife goes abroad she will also adapt to that culture.

This is a commom type of out fit by childrens, teenagers and adults in parties abroad.Well by most of college girls in Mumbai.

I am sure the group needs more training in containing things which are are of no importance.

Can any one tell how dress and Hindu culture are related? Beautiful girl she also need to show up isnt it.
