For people like me who just grew up reading his novels, its really a sad day!

He is the first Indian writer who showed science fictions can be written in Indian languages too. His Jeeno will live with us forever.

May you rest in peace.

Huge loss
by Bhaskar Ramasami on Feb 29, 2008 07:22 PM

a multifaceted personality,(writer,novelist,scientist...) , i had an opprutinity to meet him on Pongal day (15.01.2008) at book fair i got his autograph on two of his books - fortunatley so as it is hardly 40-45 days since then he has left this world.Definitely it is a irreparable loss.
When i met him asked "you are active in writing
screenplay, writing in tamil weeklies at this age(73yrs) where do you get the drive or what drives you to perform at this age?" He said "Actually there is no drive i have stopped almost all of my activities". Now i understand he meant what he said.
Hearty condolences to his family, relatives& friends

His collections such as "Ean, Edhurkku, Eppadi" (Why, for What, How) and "Thalamai seyelagam" (Chief Secretariat) on brain from Ananada Vikatan fascinated and inspired me a lot during my school days. I used to carry them to school often to discuss with my classmates on various subjects. He was a genius and could write on any field in a highly versatile manner. Great loss indeed.
