Yes he is a mentor for many persons--by Raja Sakthivel

I have been reading him right from his SORKATHEEVU published about 30 years back. Contrary to the medical assumption that one's personality is moulded before three years of age, many of the Sujatha's fans would agree their personlity was greatly influenced by his wrritings. I am fairly succesful in my life which i owe to SUJATHA to tackle many emergencies in life.Death is unavoidable,as he beautifully narrated in his "Anbulla Appavukku" tears roll down as i hear about his demise news. He had described life's many many fine moments with great intricate details. His Nylon Kayiru is something superbly expresses the profound work of a sincere police officer. Oru vipattin anatomy is entirely a new dimension in Tamil Movie. He had always described scientific events with pertinent substantiation.
My son is missing his writing as he is occupied by internet and jettix. I remember with Pride all his writings !!!!!!!

I remember his narration in 'Anbulla Appavukku'. It was an emotional description about the death of his father at Salem. I was living in Salem at that time and I almost remember each line of that article. It is difficult to believe that the same words now apply to Sujatha himself.

Dear Raja Sakthivel,

I am surprised you have mentioned 'oru vibathin anatomy'. It is one of his earlier works that appeared as a novella in the now defunct Dinamani Kadir under the editorship of 'Saavi' in the mid-sixties (priced at 35 paise!)
I do not know if you remember 'Nil Gavani.. Thakku!,and 'Vanamennum Veedhiyiley', the two taut thrillers that were way ahead of the times they saw their publication.
Intelligent, sharp and extremely well-informed, Sujatha was a trendsetter who excelled in everything he did.
My condolences to his breaved family members!

genius gone

I heard one of my friends say that Sujatha is poor man's ASIMOV. May be that is true, but I dont think ASIMOV enjoyed as much success as sujatha did in all the genres that he attempted. For a span of 10 to 15 years of time he was the only super star in tamil commercial periodicals. One periodical published even his laundry list. I don%u2019t ASIMOV had that distinction.

Sujatha had immense success in writing short stories, novels, essays, Q&As, Radio Play, TV serials, Film script writing, Drama, Poetry, Religious Literature and I cant remember what else.

I dont think I will forget his reminiscences especially 'srirangathu Devathaigal'.

Sujatha as a writer, his loss will be felt by 'tamil koorum nalulagam' for a long long time to come.

There is no one anywhere near him.

Great writer
by Nott on Mar 01, 2008 04:59 PM

Sujatha is one of the tamil writers who made revolution among the tamil writers by taking tamil to the sceintific world. He is not a great orator in Tamil but made every tamilian proud but producing classing science fictions. "Yen Ineua Robo" was a superb creativity in 1980's and the seral in DD was a super hit

But it is sad to see TV Channels/Magazines not giving due respect to this good writer. I hardly saw any news barring very few in the news papers

I guess now Shankar will have a tough time to get the script for "ROBO"

Heart condolences to the family and Tamil Novel lovers

Sujatha.... The Legend
by on Mar 01, 2008 11:17 AM

I see Sujatha as a great predictor.
When he create Jeano, no one can imagine this. Now in current scenario this is very much possible/available after two decades. This is a best example of who can forsee scientific advancement to the common person. His Pirivom Santhipom still lives with us.
Why the intellectuals who worked with him like SANKAR, MANI RATNAM & KAMAL can join together and do something creative to pay tribute to this LEGEND.

Sujatha will remain Immortal
by Lakshmi Srinivas on Mar 01, 2008 06:53 AM

Sujatha has been a revolution in the thinking of a section of the mankind. His works have contributed to the intellectual and literary growth of humanity as such. Each of his works have been milestones in literature and the literary audience.

I think there isn't anyone who can do a justifiable work in paying tribute to this intellectual and revolutionary thinker. Sujatha is and was a movement.
