RE:RE:the movie ia must watch by meena on Feb 18, 2008 02:07 PM My Dear Bharath Mahan.you did not live four to five hundred years ago nor you had to experience what our fore fathers were going thru .when the mughals invaded India with smaller armies they were able to establish themselves with not much efforts or prolong period of time you know why? because there was so much chaos wars rivalry hatred among different Raja's and Maharaja's and they were constantly battling and seeking revenge on each other there were so many kingdom's zamindars feudal lord's caste systems and what not so as you say hindus have dug their own graves but you also have to give credit to the fact during mughal rule India was almost united and a big empire they made India their home and contributed a lot to this country in many ways.Just imagine if we all were hindu's here do you think we would have not fought and discriminated each other on grounds of language caste, region etc or if we all belonged to the same caste spoke the same language lived in just one state we would hate each other based on our complexion our social status or side of the town we lived east or west north or south.if you look deeper in history you will see the Hindu king's have done more atrocities on their praja over period of time.Also most wars were not fought for religion Hindu king's battled with hindu rajas kings, muslim armies fought for hindu king's and hindu armies fought for muslim rulers. muslim king's had hindu wives and cocubines and so did hindu rajas had muslim wome    Forward   |   Report abuse

RE:What a pity by tabraiz khan on Feb 18, 2008 12:12 PM Akbar even though was very impartial and gave Hindus equal respect, the Hindus never understood this and the result we can see that during the times of Aurangzeb when the Hindus revolted against him, they occupied Akbar's tomb, dig his grave and burnt Akbar's fossil remains to ventilate their anger against the Mughals. Never the less it was the bravery of the Muslims which won India for them. few examples are Alauddin khilji occupied Chittor with a force of just 40 cavaliers, Baktiar khilji won Bengal with a force of just 17 cavaliers. etc. such equivalent examples of bravery of Hindu rulers can never be found in History.    Forward   |   Report abuse

RE:What a pity by tabraiz khan on Feb 18, 2008 12:10 PM It is not only Hindu rulers were divided in India, this is the common trend you will find even now also in the name of regionalism if not religion. This is not true that Hindus didnt put a united resistence against muslims. When Babur invaded India, many rulers supported Ibrahim Lodi to fight against Babur. Babur came to India with an army of mere 12,000 and the united army of Ibrahim lodi and other Indian rulers was more them 150,000. even after so much imbalance in the numbers, the Indian army melted in front of Babur because of mughal's superior artillery fire power(Rumi warfare) and Babur won Delhi(1526) after a war that lasted just for 3 hours. Rana Sanga, the most powerful Hindu ruler during that time expected Babur just as a plunderer and was planning to occupy Delhi once Babur leave it after plundering. But after seeing the intentions of Babur to settle down in India, Rana Sanga made a massive alliance(much superior in numbers and war tactics then Babur) of Indian rulers and even Ibrahim lodi's brother Mahmud lodi was a part of this alliance. This was the acid test Babur has to go through and his firm determination was the deciding factor in the result of this war. In order to encourage and excite his soldiers Babur broke his wine glasses and declared Jihad on Rana Sanga and all his soldiers swear to fight by his side till the last drop of blood Akbar even though was very impartial and gave Hindus equal respect, the Hindus never understood this and the result we    Forward   |   Report abuse
