What i dont understand is that we claim to be free, but why cant people respect other people's freedom? The producer is free to make a fictional or historical movie of his choice. People must respect his freedom, as they are also free to watch it or not. In this case he is not affecting any sectionof the society and as someone pointed, he is not affecting any social or historical values. Why cant we indians be INDIANS FIRST. I am a hindu and have no problems against muslims. so should a muslim or a person of any other religion.
jodha is very beautiful. agar akbar ka dil aagaya tu kya hua? ye tha akbar ka raaz. dekho aaj ka jodha akbar.................. chudu kal ki baat, kaal ki baat purani, dekhu aaj ka jodha akbar......................
I don't understand what the hell these protests are all about! Why had no one protested or tried to change things when Mughal E Azam was released?? Noone thought about that for half a century, and suddenly when this movie releases, people wake up?! I can;t help but feel that we Indians are a sad lot.....making an issue about something like this rather than appreciating the film. It does not freakin' matter who Jodha was.this is a movie so just enjoy it for God's sake!

Mughal e Azam was released in 1960 I think people in those days were more mature broad minded and appreciated the hard work of the makers and artists, now a days we have become narrow minded and our standard's of mentalities has stooped low and we consider ourselves modern and intelectual in our outlook's

I totally agree. People now are more narrow minded. Money minded egoistic ..very communal. This could be seen when ever there is an article about terrorist , we could see a Indian Muslim bashing.. in the discussion board.
Many had confirmed Jodhabai was wife of Akbar. All these crap protests are to cause unnecessary trouble for the producer. Let them be taken to high school and read the history once sgain and be given an imposition to write Akbars wife is Jodhabai he he he

If it is really confirmed, then where are the articles about it. Till now, all the articles of various media are writing as "Jodha is not a wife of Akbar". Please mention the references which confirm what you are telling and speak.

ok, i m givin u the proof. Well, i dont think there was any controversy during the release of MUGHAL-E-AZAM, at least not during the release of the coloured version n in the movie when Akbar defeats Salim in the war n arrests him n returns to his palace, then his (AKBAR's) wife is called as JODHABAI (REFERENCE: MINUTE 42:50, 2ND CD MUGHAL-E-AZAM.

i believe in wikipedia. It has given many data to me so i took it from there. Though they say No data about Jodha was available, they also mean she is the wife of Akbar. and moreover, i learnt that Mughal-e-Azam too had character of Jodha as Akbars wife. Why you people shun that movie. you were all in praise of it still. Does it cause any culture deviation??
