jodha bai was akbar's wife...after getting married to akbar she was given a muslim name as Mariam-uz-Zamani n?Hira Kunwari ...she was born on 1542... as a Rajput princess of Amber.... and this is a fact.... but all these m*o*r*o*n*s every now n then stands up with a controversy.. i think they should first clear their knowledge on history

congress spoiled the nation by dividing on the religious grounds. vote for any party except congress and the left.
here is the difference in the thought of the people. I remember one movie where a hindu hero put sindoor on muslim girl and lots of protest was there. in one movie a club song has word of "allah" and so many protests came. recently in himesh song "a salam wale kum" and muslims made noise. then no one said anything. when mf hussain made nude painting of hindu diety then there is freedom of expresion and when one dutch cartoonist made mohammed cartoon then it is anti religious. how this dubious mentality will be acceptable. why only hindus should be ruled by muslims. i am not saying movie is good or bad but the protest is right and everyone has right to protest.

just get your facts right there are numerous romantic songs very popular also with the world 'Allah'and salaam alaikum etc written by hindu and muslim lyricsist. There was so much hue and cry about M F hussain's painting that he has not been able to set foot on the Indian soil since then and he still is considered as a great Indian painter internationally not a muslim painter. there were numerous movies with hindu heroes and muslim heroines which were hits like GADAR.Shashi bhai open up your mind do research without any bias, stop living in the past be progressive don't waste your precious time on these silly issues.

No Muslim is ruling Hindu in this democratic country.

It was not mightiness of Mughal but indian rulers were divided in small states due to this strategic mistakes Mughals caputred india by hook and crook. But see the situation now india is much mightier that so called Iran,Iraq,pakistand,afghanistan. They dont stand infront of India. But one this is true Brishtier and Americans were mighter than Moghul . Thatwhy moghul are in pathetic state because of them.
jodha akbar may be great artistic film, most of the hindu's will praise it , lovingly see it. boast about it that it will create great harmony and put india as a great secular nation.
but fact may be,
jodha was a poor prey of the situation.
their might be many such jodhas.
that is why akbar is said to have 300 hindu wives.
what may be situation then , that hindu kings felt like giving their daughters / sisters in marriages to mughal invaders?
hindu kings were fiercely brave but fiercely divided as well. every one was suspecting about other and could never put united resistance to invader muslims.
some found easy way out by offering their girls to mughals and try to save their kingdoms.
invader mughal were cunning , they took full advantage of this divide and got hundreds of hindu young girls for themselves plus saluting hindu kings in their court to further expand their empire.
therefore filmy jodha is sugar coated hindu humiliation and filmy akbar is glorified cunning mughal invader.
if he was really secular , jodha did not had her grand son aurangzeb a bitter muslim who imposed jizia on meek hindus.
hindus are so soft , accommodative, tolerant, secular that this religion has become great provider of converts for other religions islam and christianity.
pl. ask yourself how many hindus got converted into other religion and how many muslims or christians adopted hinduism.

There is only one God in hinduism, Parabrahman.
All the gods are a manifestation of this one God.
The different gods just represent aspects of Gods divinity.
On the other hand, islamic terrorism is the number one enemy of the world, and has killed millions of people all over the world, a distinction hinduism does not have.

well actually mughal e azam is just fictional movie and Ashutosh said his story is based on facts and history.. and people, if a particular community has any objection, i dont think we shd make fuss abt it..
these people they dont know what a wonderful film they are missing give up your ego and go watch the film, it is a superbe awesome film and a must watch. Unlucky are the ones who will not see this film
I think its just stupid of people to protest,anti Jodhaa-Akbar because everybody has accepted great movies like Mughal-E-Azam.So why so much hulla gulla???????????

Yah man, u r absolutely correct. Here i m giving more details: In the movie MUGHAL-E-AZAM, when Akbar defeats Salim in the war n arrests him n returns to his palace, then his (AKBAR's) wife is called as JODHABAI (REFERENCE: MINUTE 42:50, 2ND CD MUGHAL-E-AZAM.

most of the historical movies made in India are based on true facts stories are weaved around historical personalities and screenplays developed it is cinematic and artistic liberty to do something like this to produce something beautiful and enjoyable I thinl we Indians in the 50"s and 60's were more broad minded than we are now .Mughal- e -Azam when released enjoyed so much patronage and appreciation although the story was completely fictional built around true historical figures there is no mention of Anarkali in the annals of history. Hindu or Muslim's king's were king's and the days are bygones enjoy these pieces of art made with so much hard work and love. Most of us here on this forum's cannot even express ourselves in a decent way and some time sound so hateful and immature sorry to say that but narrow minded
